Onion Juice for Hair Growth and Reversing Grey, With Video

Onions are more than just a healthy vegetable. They have been shown to help increase hair growth and reverse grey hair when applied to the scalp.

Onion juice has been used for hundreds of years to treat thin and greying hair.

Onion juice helps by providing nourishment and circulation to the hair follicles. It also kills germs, parasites, and is helpful in treating some fungi infections, all of which can aid in prevention of hair loss.

Onions are also high in sulfur, which helps in regenerating the hair follicles, and they are beneficial in decreasing inflammation.

A few weeks ago, a breakthrough cure for thin and grey hair was published and showed great results for the effectiveness of a topical compound called pseudocatalase (PC-KUS). The reason this topical cream was found effective was that it targeted the cause of grey and thinning hair. Research from Bradford University in the UK and several other universities have shown that grey and thinning hair is caused by a buildup of hydrogen peroxide and a decrease in the natural antioxidant, catalase. When a buildup of hydrogen peroxide occurs at the hair follicles, it causes oxidative stress resulting in greying and thinning hair.

Catalase can not only be found in the topical cream, but it can also be produced from the application of onion juice! Onion juice reacts similarly, as when it is applied, it increases the level of catalase on the skins surface, reducing the buildup of hydrogen peroxide.
Onion Juice for Hair Loss and Greying Hair

The results from the topical application of onion juice can be observed within just a few weeks.

One study from the Journal of Dermatology found that just after four weeks of using onion juice, 74% of individuals with alopecia areata experienced significant hair regrowth. Within six weeks of using onion juice, 84% of the individuals were reported to have hair regrowth.
How to Make Onion Juice

When I first started researching using onion juice for hair growth, I immediately did a search for where I could buy some. Even though you can buy it online, it is better to use the juice of a fresh onion as any juice you purchase is stored for months and the fresh juice will be more potent. It is best to make the juice in small amounts so it is does not have to be stored for a long period of time.

There are 3 Ways You Can Make Onion Juice:

1) Juicer- If you have a juicer, this is the easiest way to make onion juice. Just peel the onion, cut it in half and put it in the juicer.

2) Blender/Food Processor- Peel the onion and cut it into about 4 sections, then put them into your blender or food processor and start blending. Lastly, strain the mixture so that only the juice is remaining.

3) Grater – Peel the onion and cut it in half. Grate both halves of the onion over a dish and then strain the mixture to get just the juice.
How to Use Onion Juice for Hair

For the first application of onion juice, you may want to test it on a small area (in case you may be allergic to it) or water down the mixture. Even though it’s natural, pure onion juice is strong.

Apply the onion juice daily to your scalp and lightly massage it in, this helps stimulate the hair follicles and allows for maximum absorption.

Leave the onion Juice on for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Eww! The smell is powerful, but the results may be worth it! To avoid smelling like onion all day, you can apply it at night and then wash it out before you go to bed.

If you’re allergic to onions or are looking for another option, another common remedy for thinning hair is ginseng.

-Using onion-honey mixture: Take one-fourth cup of raw onion juice and add honey to it. Use this to massage your scalp on a daily basis to see the difference.

-Onion is a natural anti dandruff solution: Applying onion juice on scalp for half an hour before washing your hair with a shampoo can be very effective for treating dandruff.

-Olive Oil and Honey for Treatment of Dandruff: Take 1/4th portion of honey and mix t into 3/4th portion of Olive oil. Apply on your scalp and hair and wrap a hot towel over it and wash after some time with a mild shampoo.

Between the perfect mannequins, there will be figures with scoliosis or brittle bone disease modelling the latest fashions. One will have shortened limbs; the other a malformed spine. The campaign has been devised for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by Pro Infirmis, an organisation for the disabled. Entitled “Because who is perfect? Get closer.” it is designed to provoke reflection on the acceptance of people with disabilities. Director Alain Gsponer has captured the campaign as a short film. SHARE with friends and family. “Life Without Limbs” author and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic married fiance Kanae Miyahara in a romantic ceremony in California. The newlyweds are now honeymooning in Hawaii, where they have been spotted snapping pictures on the beach and enjoying cocktails and of course, Nick can handle the camera quite adeptly! Nick, 29, was born in Brisbane, Australia with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare condition resulting in the absence of limbs. The son of Pastor Boris and Dushka Vujicic, Nick and his parents were determined to not let his condition get in the way of leading a fulfilling and active life. As a boy, Nick gradually learned to do daily tasks that most of us take for granted.

He mastered writing with the two toes on his left foot using a special grip equipped to go on his big toe. In fact, the resolute Nick also learned to type, throw a ball, get himself water, answer the phone, and shave. He can even play the drums. After earning a double degree in Accounting and Financial Planning from Griffith University, Nick established himself as a motivational speaker by traveling around the world spreading inspiration through his non-profit organization LifeWithoutLimbs.com. Despite these accomplishments, Nick is more excited to talk about the new union in his life. “The greatest blessing I’ve ever received after life, salvation, and a relationship with God: introducing Nick and Kanae engaged!!!” he told his followers.

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE WORD "IMPOSSIBLE" IN YOUR DICTIONARY?

When I realised how much God has empowered me to accomplish here on earth, I instantly deleted the word impossible from the dictionary of my mind.
Walt Disney, the man who changed the face of the entertainment more than any other single person was widely regarded as the impossible thinker. He was the one that said, "it's kind of fun doing the impossible" He was such a strong impossibility thinker that if he told his men that they were going to do something and all of them got excited about it and said "yes let's go for it, we can do it," he will change his mind and decide on something else. If he shared an idea with them and they complained and said is not possible, there is no way we can do that, he would get excited and tell them, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO. 

And he will apply himself, drive his people to work, encourage them until the impossibility is done.
There is nothing that makes life very interesting than stretching out and doing things that you have never done before. Stop complaining that things are not moving, go out there, learn new things and the impossible will be possible. The Wright brothers flew right through the smoke screen of impossibility. They refused to believe that it is impossible to fly. What is it before you today that look impossible, pregnancy, job, business etc: get excited, that is what your God specializes in doing. From this day, delete the word "IMPOSSIBLE" from your dictionary of the mind and dare to proceed in the mist of life challenges. Keep soaring and be blessed.

WHILE WE WAIT

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near. Revelation 1:3 It seems that people go to one of two extremes when it comes to the topic of Bible prophecy. One extreme is an obsession with it, where they eat, drink, and breathe Bible prophecy. In their minds, everything they read and everything they hear is a fulfillment of prophecy. Then there are those who completely ignore it, and in some cases, don't really want to know that much about it. But that is a big mistake.

 There are benefits to studying Bible prophecy. If we really believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again soon, it will cause us to want to live godly lives. In 1 John 3:2-3 we read, "Dear friends, we are already God's children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He really is.

And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as He is pure." Believing in Christ's soon return has a spiritually purifying effect on our lives. Also, believing that Christ is coming back should motivate us to reach others with the message of the gospel. We read in 2 Peter 3, "And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. And remember, the Lord's patience gives people time to be saved . . ." (2 Peter 3:14-15). We want to be reaching as many as we can as we await Christ's return. The Bible promises a special blessing to the person who studies, understands, and keeps the words of the prophecy of the Lord Jesus Christ. You don't want to miss any blessings that God has for you. Do you?

Praying for yourself VERSUS Praying for others

My attention was brought to something, a lot of people know the usefulness of this but shy away from it – Praying for yourself versus praying for others.
When we are going through stuff in life, the only thing we think about sometimes is how happy and relieved we’ll be if only God answers our prayers. We are consumed by our own needs and pain and we yearn for a breakthrough. That, in itself, is not a bad thing, after all God promises to answer when we call. But how often do we pray for others?

I was sitting in church the other day and two people were talking about someone else and her many vices. One of them concluded by saying, “Let’s just be praying for her now”.
The other replied by saying “Pray? Have I finished praying for myself?”

Sounds familiar huh? Yeah I know. I have said it too many times at some point in my life. But what exactly does the scripture say about this. Let’s have a look:

James 5:16 - Confess your trespasses to one another, and PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.(NKJV)

We quote the latter part of this scripture a lot and forget the former. But actually the Bible talked about the effective fervent prayer in reference to praying for one another. In other words, when you say that heartfelt prayer for one another, it brings much power that is dynamic in its working. Do you see that? When I spend time praying for someone else, the prayers get answered, the person’s life gets changed and vice versa. This also means that a lot of the “problems” we face could be sorted not by our own prayers, but by the prayers of others.

Can you imagine that kind of life? Where you are so sure someone somewhere has got your back covered in prayers, just the way you are covering others? Life would be so much sweeter, as we would be more united. And unity fosters victory. You can be sure the devil would be "minced-meat" a lot faster! That is what I call true Christianity. Remembered Jesus prayed for peter.

A Confused Toddler Meets Father's Identical Twin

A video of a toddler meeting her father's identical twin brother for the first time has racked up over a million views on Youtube.

The video starts with the girl and her dad walking into her uncle's house. As soon as she sets eyes on "Uncle Herbie," her eyes immediately grow wide. She then looks back and forth at her dad and uncle standing next to each other.

"There's two of us, huh?" the man identified as Herbie asks his niece. "You confused, ain't you?"

The look of disbelief on her face has the room, and surely many more YouTube viewers, laughing along. Perhaps the highlight of the video is 35 seconds in, when the toddler offers a quick double take between her father and uncle.

But in the end, the girl seems to come to terms with the situation. She allows Uncle Herbie to hold her. After her father takes her back into his arms, she gives her uncle a small high-five and fist bump.

A version of the video popped up on the Internet in December, and another copy of it went viral over the weekend, thanks.
