‘List’ Of Abducted Chibok High School

Christian Association Of Nigeria Releases ‘List’ Of Abducted Chibok High School Girls Evangelist Matthew Owojaiye of the Old Time Revival Hour Church in Kaduna has published a list of 180 abducted girls of the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, calling on all Nigerian Christians for lamentation prayers for their safe release. He did not say how he obtained the list, and Sahara-Reporters has not been able to authenticate it. Chibok Local Government is 90% Christians,” he said in a statement on Sunday. “Majority of the girls abducted are Christian! Why did Boko Haram visit Chibok Local Government? Why didn’t they visit so many other Local Government Girls Secondary Schools in Borno State?”He described the abduction as an abomination.“Daughters of Zion taken captive, to be treated as slave and sold into marriage to unclean people. Abomination has been committed.“Raise lamentation to High Heavens. What a shame on the Church of the Living God.”The list published by Evangelist Owojaiye features 180 girls, of whom 165 are said to be Christian. In the statement, he warns that “ordinary” military approach may be unable to solve the problem of securing their return, but that “intensive agonizing” prayer will. On the subject of post-recovery, he demanded that the Federal Government whose duty it was to protect the innocent girls should pay N50million in trauma compensation to each girl. In addition, he demanded preparation to take each girl to an overseas university on government scholarship by September 2014, and the transfer of the SS1 and SS2 girls in the school to schools of their choice, at the expense of the government. Text of the statement: ABOMINATION! ABOMINATION!!CHRISTIAN  GIRLS ABDUCTED IN CHIBOK, BORNOSTATE. Daughters of Zion taken captive, to be treated as slave and sold into marriage to unclean people. AN EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW

"What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin.
Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting." Matthew 18:7
People who want to undermine the faith of Christians, especially r young ones, will be in for a day of reckoning.
God takes this very seriously. Jesus said that for anyone who would go out of their way to try to hurt someone in their spiritual life or to challenge it or destroy it, it would be better if a millstone was tied around their neck and they were drowned in the depths of the sea.
Here is what we need to remember: we are being watched by younger believers every day. In Timothy 4:12 we read, "Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."
The apostle Paul also wrote, "Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example" (Philippians 3:17).
That is what every Christian should be able to say. We should be able to say, "Follow me as I follow Christ." If you are a follower of Christ, I hope you could say that too.
We should be living in such a way that a younger believer could look to our example and find something in our lives worth emulating.
What if everyone in your church were just like you? In a sense, it is, because it is made up of people like you and me.
And every one of us either contributes to its strength and growth, or we contribute to its weakness and decline.
It is not an issue of whether you are an example, because everyone is an example. The only question is, are you a good one or a bad one?
Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to be a good example and inspiration to younger believers.

Making Your Way Prosperous

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8) .
God wants you to prosper in every area of your life, for He delights in the prosperity of His children (Psalm 35:27). 3 John 1:2 reveals the Spirit’s wish for you to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. In Christ Jesus, you’ve come into a rich heritage; a place of divine favour. 2 Peter 1:3 tells us that the Lord has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness.
Indeed, when you received Christ you were automatically catapulted into a glorious realm of prosperity and became an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). However, Galatians 4:1says,“...the heir, as long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all....” In other words, though you're a joint heir with Christ, and all of God's wealth and inestimable riches belong to you, you have to grow in the Word unto maturity to enjoy the benefits of your inheritance.
This is where meditating on the Word and putting it to work in your life comes to play. As you meditate on the Scriptures, the Word is seasoned in your spirit, such that you think, talk, and live the Word. The Bible shows this to us as the way to make your way prosperous: it’s by meditating on the Word, and observing to do what it says. Now, this isn't just referring to financial prosperity, but prosperity all-round; in every aspect of your life.
The Apostle Paul, in 1 Timothy 4:15, reiterated the same truth: “meditate on these things, give yourself completely to them, that your profiting may appear to all.” When you meditate on God’s Word, your progress, advancement, prosperity, success will spread abroad, and be evident for all to see. This means that the extent of your success and prosperity is entirely dependent on you. To prosper in all you do—in your job, family, health, finances, marriage, etc.—continually meditate on the Word. This is His divine roadmap for true and lasting prosperity.
Prayer
I thank you, precious heavenly Father, for my great heritage in Christ; thank you for setting me up for a life of endless victories, and sustained prosperity! As I study and meditate on your Word, my success and prosperity are evident, and spread abroad, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Further Study: Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. ,
Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Prayer for new week!!!

The Lord who never sleeps or slumbers will cause everything in your life to work together for good! Every Mess will become a message! Every test will become a testimony; every setback will become a stepping stone in Jesus! He will make your enemies work on your behalf! He will fight all your battles and you will hold your peace! The Lord is aware of everything in your life and he will make everything beautiful in his time in Jesus name.  For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, You will rise again, you will have favor with people, and you will prosper in all that you lay your hand on in Jesus mighty name. Happy New Week from  ASB-World.

Positioning Yourself: A quick reflection on the story of Esther

Esther was an orphan who was adopted by her Uncle, Mordecai. There was a conspiracy by Haman, one of the Prominent and influential princes under the reign of king Ahasuerus, to wipe out all the Jews, because Mordecai would not bow down to him (Esther 3:6).
Haman was going to succeed in the plot because he already got an approval from the King to carry out his wicked act (Esther 3:9-11).
The only lifeline that was available for the Jews to escape from the plot of Haman was for Esther to risk her life, by volunteering to appear before the king, contrary to the law of the land, all in a bid to save her people from destruction.
Esther 4:15 “Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
VS 16 Go gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish I perish” (KJV)
Lessons:
The Lord must have positioned Esther in the palace for the purpose of delivering His people from the hands of their enemies (Haman in this case). Queen Esther was willing to lay down her life as she knew the consequences of appearing before the king without an invitation, yet, she took the risk.
How much sacrifice have we made or can we make for the salvation of the souls of our parents, siblings, friends and neighbours?
Even though Esther was an Orphan, she realised there was something she could offer, and that is to stand the gap on behalf of her people.
Esther, though a Queen, was humble enough to listen to the counsel of her Uncle, Mordecai.
How many times have we despised the counsel of our parents or guardian because they are not as educated as we are? Do you look down on your husband because you earn more than him or you have a higher educational degree than he does?
The bible says:
Pr 16:18 “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall”.
So many have lost their marriages and some their honour before their husband, on account of Pride.
Can God depend on you to deliver your family from destruction? How about your co-worker that does not have a relationship with Christ?
What are the limitations around you?
Is the devil telling you it is not possible?
Have you told yourself you cannot do it?
All these are lies of the enemy to keep you under. Overcome your fears and take the bold step that God has been longing for you to take today.
You are created to affect your generation positively, you have no business been on the floor feeling defeated and looking for pity party. God has deposited so much in you to fulfill destiny, not even the devil can contend with that, arise sisters because you can!

IF A DOG WAS YOUR TEACHER

If a dog was your teacher,
these are some of the lessons you might learn…
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face,
to be pure ecstasy
When it’s in your best interest,
practice obedience
Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory
Take naps and stretch before rising
Run romp and play daily
Thrive on attention and let people touch you
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do
On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass
On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
When you’re happy dance around and wag your entire body
No matter how often you’re scolded,
don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout,
run right back and make friends
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm
Stop when you have had enough
Be loyal
Never pretend to be something you’re not
If what you want lies buried,
dig until you find it
When someone is having a bad day,
be silent….
…sit close by
…and nuzzle them gently.
