LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD

It is a very common sight to get to my parent’s house and meet my mum praising God. Anyone who ventured into the house or the room she was in at that point in time was enlisted for that praise session. She would appoint unto herself a time frame of say 30 minutes or 1-hr of praise. The most common was 100 praise songs. Through my mum, I've learned the art and act of praise. It is quite easy to praise God when all is well. What about when things are not going according to plan? Or when there is a big problem on ground? During periods of crisis is when my mum amazes me the most. When everyone is weeping over something that has happened and it seems the world has come to an end, my mum would round us up in the sitting room, and start her praise session, which we've all come to term ‘Mummy’s praise school’. While we are busy crying and wiping our eyes, my mum would start praising God with her eyes tightly shut and her tambourine in her hands. After some time, one by one, we tire of the tears and join her in praise. At first weakly and then with gathered strength; I testify today that there is no battle that can withstand the power of praise. Praise is a very sure weapon that can’t ever fail. The bible says God inhabits our praise, so whatever issue we bring praise into, we automatically have brought God into it. Employ the weapon of praise, reap the spoils of ‘war’.
Psalm 100
A Psalm of praise.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
(KJV)
THOUGHT: LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD
PRAYER:  Praise is a deep understanding of God. Father pls help me in an inconvenient situation to praise instead of tears.

WORLDLY DISTRACTIONS

Do not love this world or the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 1 John 2:15

Imagine being mentioned by name in one of the epistles written by Paul. Not only was Demas mentioned, but he was mentioned twice.

First, Paul wrote in Philemon, "Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings. So do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my co-workers" (1:23-24)

Then Paul mentioned him a second time: "Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica" (2 Timothy 4:10).

So why would Demas leave Paul? Because he loved this present world. He loved the things of this life. The Bible says, "Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world" (1 John 2:15-16).

When the Bible speaks of the world, it is speaking of a culture, a mentality that is hostile to God.

In the Parable of the Sower, where Jesus talked about the seed of God's Word that was choked out by thorns, those thorns represent "the worries of this life and the lure of wealth" (Matthew 13:22).

So don't allow the things of this world to detract you. "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things shall be added to you."

Affirmation: Affirm your love to the Lord; ask for His grace to turn your back to the world.

A Best Selling Story (God has the original blueprint for your life)

God has the original blueprint for your life. The devil may make an attempt at re-writing your story by introducing loads of unpleasant circumstances.. He may try to distort things, but the good news is that God already published your book before you existed. Unknown to the devil, all his tactics have all been taken into account and sorted out in the book. Something is certain about you- you are definitely going to have a good landing. Before you existed and till eternity, your life is a successfully completed best selling story! ...selah

Who would have predicted that Hannah would have 6 children in all, after being sneered at for many years?
Who would have thought Joseph would occupy the most influential position in Egypt after going through so much in life?
Who would have imagined that Esther; a young maid would eventually occupy the position of the Queen?

In spite of some things we have seen and being through in life, who would have thought you and I would still be standing?

A Sure Word!

Recently, my sister shared with me, the story of how she and her sister-in-law went to one of Pastor Ashimolowo's program and right in the midst of prayer ministration, her sister-in-law was 'handpicked' out of the crowd by the man of God and a direct word that addressed her EXACT situation was delivered to her. My sister told me she always knew Pastor Matthew as a teacher of the word but that day, she saw another dimension of the ministry gift he operates. Surely, the recipient of the word knew for a certainty that her case was signed, sealed, and delivered, and as surely as the Lord lives, the word that came at that point in time found speedy expression for whom it was meant.

Some of us might have had this awesome experience and many have loved ones who have experienced such or we get to read about it all the time. It is not totally incorrect to assume that many of us who have heard of or seen such experience happening to others long for same. We might muse and say, "What could be better than having the solution to my challenge delivered to me on such platter of gold?" In fact, this rationale could very well be at the root of some individuals' run from pillar to post, seeking similar out-of-the-world experience.

It is absolutely good to wait on prophecy from the mouth of God's servants but do you know that there is a MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY? 2 Peter 1:19-21 (NKJV-emphasis mine) says,
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no PROPHECY of SCRIPTURE is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Hear, hear! What we have on the pages of the Bible are prophecies and Peter indicated that these prophecies are SURER because they were penned under the Holy Spirit's inspiration. Wow! Indeed, God can send a word of prophecy that addresses your need through a man of God and if He does, glory to God. However, if it doesn't happen that way, don't despair. You have the Bible and that simply means you have access to a more sure word of prophecy - what else should you be looking for? All you need do is delve and dig into the scriptures to find that particular prophecy that has been written concerning you, and run with it. The pages of the Bible are filled with God's promises to you. You need to find the one that addresses your situation and cling tightly to it. Catch a more sure word of prophecy from scriptures, receive it, believe it, and let the assurance settle deep within you that the solution you desire is signed, sealed, and delivered!

Shalom!

1 1/2 cups (8 1/4 ounces) graham flour
3/4 cup (3 3/4 ounces) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (3 1/2 ounces) sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and chilled
5 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Adjust oven racks to upper-middle and lower-middle positions and heat oven to 375 degrees. Process graham flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in food processor until combined, about 3 seconds. Add butter and process until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal, about 15 seconds. Add water, molasses, and vanilla and process until dough comes together, about 20 seconds.

Working with 1 piece of dough at a time (keep remaining pieces covered with plastic wrap), roll dough out between 2 pieces of parchment paper into 11 by 8-inch rectangle, 1/8 inch thick. Remove top piece of parchment and trim dough into tidy 10 by 7 1/2-inch rectangle with knife, and then score rectangle of dough into twelve 2 1/2-inch squares. Prick each square several times with fork.
3. Slide 2 pieces of rolled-out and scored dough, still on parchment, onto separate baking sheets. Bake crackers until golden brown and edges are firm, about 15 minutes, switching and rotating sheets halfway through baking. Slide baked crackers, still on parchment, onto wire rack and let cool completely. Repeat with remaining 2 pieces of rolled-out dough.
4. Transfer cooled crackers, still on parchment, to cutting board and carefully cut apart along scored lines. Graham crackers can be stored at room temperature in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
To Make Cinnamon Graham Crackers: Increase amount of cinnamon in dough to 1/2 teaspoon. Toss 1/4 cup sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, then sprinkle mixture over scored crackers just before baking.

Prayer for new week and Happy new week

This is what the LORD saysHe who made a way through d sea,A path through the mighty waters,
Who drew out the chariots and horses,
the army and reinforcements together,
and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick;
Forget the former things;
Do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the deserts and streams in the wasteland.

I declare this morning that whatever you have lost due to doubt or sins, God will restore them unto you, where others are rejected and dejected, you will be elevated to greater height and your destiny shall speak volumes of God's grace in Jesus name! You will no longer suffer for money, but money shall work for you in Jesus Name

Happy New Week from us ASB-World.
