SELF CONFIDENCE

It is told, that there was a broadcaster, who worked all his life in the radio station, he was well-known and famous. And all of his friends and colleges knew him by one feature: if he’s on-air, he is always wearing a suit and a tie.
They laughed at him: ‘No one ever sees you, why do you dress like that?’, but he always turned that into a joke.
And one day, he was invited to appear on the TV. There was a show dedicated to oldest radio employees.
For the first time, the people, who only knew him by his voice, will see him. Before the recording of the show, the director came to the broadcaster:
- Usually, you are never late, but today you arrived 10 minutes late. It’s not horrible, but I’m still interested, why?
- You see, - the broadcaster answered, - at the last moment when I was already dressed up, I noticed that I don’t have new socks.
For the first time I was invited to the television, and I thought, to simply be in clean socks – is not enough. I need to be in new socks. So I needed to go by the store for socks.
- But why do you need new socks? – The director was surprised.
- You could have come without the socks because we will only film you in close-up, over the waist.
- You see, to be spotless in the frame or on-air, I need to feel myself spotless in everything, starting with the linen and finishing with the pen in my pocket. And if my socks have holes in them, or my shoes are dirty, I’m not spotless anymore.
Reflection:
Let's be spotless in our field of endeavour, whether seen or unseen.

KINDNESS YIELDS GOOD RESULTS

A poor boy was selling goods from one door to another to pay for his studies. One day he found that he had only one dime left, and he was hungry. While approaching the next house, he decided to ask for a meal.
But when a young woman has opened the door, he only dared to ask for a glass of water. She looked at him and understood, that probably the boy is hungry.
So she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it and then asked, how much did he owe her. The woman replied: „You don‘t own me anything. Mother taught us never to accept pay for a kindness“. „
Then I thank you from the bottom of my heart“, – he said and felt that now is stronger not only physically, but his faith in God has grown as well. The boy‘s name was Howard Kelly.
Many year have passed. One day that woman became seriously ill. Local doctors could not help her, therefore they sent her to a big city, where her rare disease would be studied by specialists.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he entered her room in the hospital, he immediately recognized the woman, that showed kindness to him, when he was poor.
The doctor was determined to do his best to help her recover from her disease.
The stuggle was long, but together they managed to overcome her illness.
After some time the woman received a bill for her treatment. She was worried that the amount to pay would be so significant, that it would take the rest of her life to pay for it.
Finally, when the woman looked at the bill, she noticed words that were written on the side of the bill. The words were: „Paid in full with a glass of milk“.
Reflection:
Life has so much to offer. The Bible tells us to cast our bread upon the waters and we will find it after many days. It pays to show kindness in all our endeavours.
Your kindness today will open glorious opportunities in the near future. Let's help each other with love for God is Love.

"Wait a minute! My kids won't obey unless I get angry." Read !!

Do you find yourself yelling sometimes just to be heard? Does the yelling frustrate you but you feel there's no other way? We find that parents often yell when they don't have a plan. Some parents don't know how to fix a problem with their kids so they become louder, thinking that the intensity created through yelling will have some kind of positive effect. It doesn't work.
Motivating with harshness can keep children in line or get them to accomplish a task, but that method damages family relationships. In Jeremiah 10:24, Jeremiah prays, "Correct me, Lord, but only with justice not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing." In the end, it is closeness that provides parents with teachable moments and the relaxed enjoyment of family life. Yelling and harshness discourage trust, essential to help young people learn valuable principles about life.
You might be saying, "Wait a minute! My kids won't obey unless I get angry." If that's true, then maybe you've trained your children to respond to your anger as a signal that it's time to obey. Kids are smart. They know they can wait until the last minute before responding. They've figured out how many warnings you'll give and they recognize the tone of voice that says you're ready to deliver a consequence.
One solution is to teach children to respond to a different cue. If yelling is the sign that you mean business, then change the cue to a more constructive signal. If you teach your kids that you'll back up your words sooner, without anger, then your dependency on anger to get things done will decrease.

THE END WILL TELL

Here is another story Jesus told: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away." Matthew 13:24-25
Even back in the Apostle Paul's day, there were counterfeit Christians. He wrote to the church at Corinth, "I have travelled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not" (2. Corinthians 11:26).
There are a lot of people today who are putting on a great performance, but it is not genuine. It is not real. They are imposters. In the 'Parable of the Wheat and the Tares' found in Matthew 13, Jesus talked about people like these—genuine imitations.
Jesus was not referring to struggling believers, but to phonies. He was talking about actors. And in this parable, He exposed one of the ways in which the devil works.
Specifically, it is one of the ways the devil will be working in the end times: through imitation.
This parable mentions two sowings. The first is by a farmer who sows seed in his field, hoping for a good crop.
The second sowing is done by an enemy who plants tares, or weeds, right next to what the farmer just sowed, with the purpose of uprooting the good seed.
A tare was a darnel seed that initially looked like wheat. But it is not until it is fully grown that it becomes evident that it is not wheat at all.
There are counterfeit Christians today, just as there were in the first century. Yet God has decided to wait till the end to expose and cast them out of His children.
Prayer: Thank God for giving you a genuine faith in Him and the Lord Jesus Christ.

EVERY MOMENT COUNTS; BE GRATEFUL TO GOD

A teacher was dying, but still was cheerful and kind. Students were gathering around his deathbed.
- Ask. While I’m still here, I can help you somehow.
And he was showered with questions… The teacher listened to them and started crying.
- You ruined my feast, dear ones! Now I see that I was a bad mentor… Fine, I will try to fix it in the last minutes of my life.
And he said the following:
- Every morning I would wake up with a smile on my face. I would meet the day, as though it was the first and the last day of my life and I would accept everything it offered me with gratitude.
I was happy for every meeting with you, as though it was the first and the last meeting, and every time you would open to me as a new world.
I would pray as though it was my first and last prayer that God will hear from me – it was necessary not to forget anything or anyone.
I would work with pleasure and to exhaustion, as though I would never have to work again.
I would look with a smile of admiration at every creation of God, as though I saw them the first and the last time.
I always lived for that one day: I had to live it right, as though it was the only day of my life.
I longed for the meeting with the Creator so much that I did everything so I would be worthy of meeting Him.
Looking back at my Way, I look for mistakes – but I can’t find them.
Now it’s your turn to look.
Reflection: Every moment we spend on this earth counts. We must be grateful to God for His Faithfulness and Mercies. We must be a blessing to our generation.
