FOLLOW GOD'S LEADING

Image result for FOLLOW GOD'S LEADING
Then Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." Exodus 3:3
In order to fulfil your divine destiny, you must be sensitive to God's leading at all times and follow the path that the Lord has set before you.
You should live your life with a clear sense of knowing where you're going, which direction you will take to get there and what you want to accomplish.
Don't spend your time and energy on things that may be interesting, but are not helping you fulfil your destiny.
Remember, God's plans are blessed and as you walk in His plan for your life, you will experience His abundant blessing on everything you set your hand to.
When He interrupts your agenda, don't be upset; just turn aside and follow His plans. One of the surest ways to keep your priorities right is to become a joyful worshipper.
As you make God your number one priority, you allow Him to magnify Himself in your life. Take time to worship God for who He is and thank Him for all the blessings He has given you.
It doesn't matter if you're at home, at work, at the bus stop or caught up in a traffic jam; turn every activity of yours into a spiritual activity.
Welcome the Lord's presence into your life at all times. Allow Him to strengthen your faith as you spend time in His Word. Your Bible is the best tool for discovering your God-given purpose.
The Bible will tell you who you are, what you have and what you can do. There's nothing like the excitement of discovering the treasures God has for you in His Word.
Like Moses, learn to turn aside from your own plans to follow the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, give me the ability to see Your hand and Your leading even in the ordinary events of my life.
Scriptural Reading: Exodus 3:1-6

The 9 things you should never say in a fight with your child

Disagreements between you and your children are a fact of parenthood. When aging children begin asserting their independence, things can quickly turn for the worse when your "not-so-little ones" become blatantly disobedient and disrespectful.

When it comes to fighting with your kids, fight fair by avoiding these nine phrases at all costs:

1. Profanities

Profanities are a total no-no. Don't fire back when your child hurls these at you. In the end, you are the adult and everything you do is teaching your child how to behave when he reaches adulthood. If you throw out profanities during a fight with your child, he'll do the same to your grandkids.

2. "You're/You're a (insert any insulting label here)"

Part of fighting fair is constructively expressing your real feelings and concerns and then working toward resolving them. Labels and insults do neither and only cause hurt feelings or increased anger. These words stick to your child like glue and may greatly affect his relationships and self-esteem for years to come.

3. "I never wanted you," or "I wish I never had you!"

It's easy to rebut the classic kiddy tantrum, "I wish I'd never been born," with one of these doozies. But don't drop that bomb. Questioning the validity of your child's right to exist is never a thought you want to implant in his mind — and it may come back to haunt you if he tries to make it a reality.

4. "You were a mistake," or "You ruined my life!"

Blaming your child for being here doesn't make sense and doesn't make you look mature enough to be a parent. Being born was not his decision — it was yours. And even in the heat of the moment, making such an ugly claim says more about you than it says about him.

5. "Why can't you be more like __?"

Comparing your wayward child to a more upstanding citizen is easy when he hits those tumultuous teen years. But your child is just trying to find himself. He is who he is, and asking him to be someone else is the same as telling him, "You're not good enough the way you are."

6. "I hate you," or "I don't love you!"

Let's hope neither of these statements is true. Pointless and tactless, they just create a greater divide between you and your beloved child. Even if they are true, they still don't need to be said — and it might be time for counseling!

7. "Shut up, I don't care!"

Listening is much harder and much more important than speaking. What caused the argument in the first place is likely a breakdown in communication, so reinforcing the point that you are unwilling to listen to your child will only further the insult and injury.

8. "I'm leaving," or "I'm not coming back!"

Your child needs you, no matter how much he claims he doesn't. Don't ever give your child a reason to feel abandoned. If you need to step outside to get some air, do it. But don't take your keys, and give yourself a time frame in which to return. Then, come back!

9. "Get out!"

Your child needs a safe haven to call home and a comfortable place to rest his head. Ripping this away from him is not only against the law, it causes catastrophic damage to your relationship. And your child may not be so willing to return when you've calmed down and want him to come back.

Keeping your wits in the midst of a meltdown with your kid takes grace, patience and immense amounts of self-discipline and self-control. But as the parent, this is the responsibility you took on when you started your family. Be the adult, and make sure every argument works toward a resolution — and remember to keep those unkind words to yourself. Source.

FORGIVE

Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity." - Acts 8:22-23
This is a scene that all of us might have seen before. It happens in novels, movies and dramatic productions.
A miserable, depressed, emotionally broken person hunched over a set of suspicious looking chemicals. His eyes are menacing.
His jaws are set. His fingers are methodically adding just a pinch of this and a dash of that to the evil-looking green fluid in the test tube before him.
His thoughts are filled with a mixture of dated images carrying memories of hatred for a grievance long past. He is thinking of the one who hurt him, and he is concocting some deadly poison for the offender.
After finishing with the preparation of his medicine of death, he breathes a sigh of relief as he straightens up, marvelling at the liquid vengeance he has created and mutters, "This will show him."
He turns and mixes the poisonous substance in the drink of the target of his bitterness.
Then tragedy strikes. He forgets the cup he poured the poison into and ends up mistakenly drinking his own poison.
Bitterness is a poison that we prepare for someone else, but then drink ourselves. It is a concentrated dose of emotional poison, often one that we carefully nurture and grow over the course of years.
When we react to someone's wrongdoing by withdrawing and giving our minds over to daydreams of retribution and evil plans, we are slowly poisoning our own hearts and minds.
Ask God to reveal any signs of poison in your system. Then, give yourself a dose of the antidote - forgiveness.
Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to forgive all those who have hurt me.
Scriptural Reading: Acts 8:13-25

SEE YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." Numbers 13:30
Three groups of people were made to submit themselves to scientific experiments to test the effect of mental suggestion on their strength. They were to grip a strength-measuring instrument with all their strength under three different sets of conditions.
The first group was tested under normal conditions. The average grip was 45 kilograms.
The second group was told that they were very weak and did not have the muscle mass to lift heavy weights. Their average grip this time was only 13 kilograms!
In the third group they were told that they had athletic muscle mass and were naturally endowed with strength to handle heavy weights. The average grip jumped to 64 kilograms.
The results of the tests proved that human performance is critically impacted by the human mindset. Although all the people in the three groups had similar strengths, the thoughts that were planted into their minds about themselves influenced their performance.
The verdict is clear: the way people act is based on the way they perceive themselves. None of us wants to miss the blessings God has planned for us.
However, because of our own negative attitude and wrong choices, we often live lives that are way below our potential.
Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years because they allowed negativity and a sense of powerlessness to govern their attitudes and choice. Like the people in the strength-test experiment, Israel responded to their challenges based on their self-image.
When they thought of themselves as grasshoppers, they fell. When they thought like slaves from Egypt, they failed; when they thought as liberated people of the Most High God, they won.
Prayer: Help me O Lord, to think of myself the way You think of me.

Health: How to Get Rid of Dark Elbows and Knees

The skin around the elbows and knees is usually thicker and has more folds than its surrounding skin. Also, because there are no oil glands in these areas, this skin tends to be drier. So, when proper care and hygiene is not maintained, the skin on knees and elbows becomes much darker than other parts of your body.
Some other factors that contribute to dark elbows and knees are frequent rubbing, overexposure to the sun, genetic factors, dry skin, hormonal imbalance, obesity, dead skin buildup and increased melanin pigment. This is a common issue that can make one self-conscious about wearing short-sleeve dresses and tops as well as skirts and shorts.
Several natural remedies and simple skin care techniques can help solve this problem.

1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a good remedy to lighten dark knees and elbows. It has vitamin E that can help lighten the skin tone and prevent dryness by keeping the skin hydrated and moisturized. It can even repair dark and damaged skin.
  • After each shower or bath, apply coconut oil on your knees and elbows and massage gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Reapply several times a day to prevent dryness.
  • Alternatively, prepare a mixture with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice. Rub this solution on your dark elbows and knees and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Wipe it off with paper towels. Do this once daily.
  • You can also add enough coconut oil to 1 tablespoon of walnut powder to make a thick paste. Use it to exfoliate dark skin patches around your knees and elbows 2 or 3 times a week.

2. Lemon

Lemon has natural bleaching as well as exfoliating properties. Also, it has a high amount of vitamin C that helps remove dead cells and lighten skin tone. It can also promote regeneration of healthy skin cells.
  • Apply lemon juice on your elbows and knees and massage gently for a few minutes. Leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and apply a moisturizing lotion.
  • You can also extract the juice of 1 lemon and mix it with 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply it on the affected areas and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash the mixture off with water.
Follow either of these remedies once daily for a couple of weeks. After applying lemon juice, avoid sun exposure for the next 3 hours.

3. Yogurt

Yogurt contains lactic acid that helps lighten skin color. It also cleanses and moisturizes the skin.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of plain yogurt and white vinegar to get a smooth paste. Apply it on the affected areas and let it dry. Rinse it off with warm water, pat dry and apply a moisturizer. Do this daily for a few weeks.
  • Alternatively, mix 2 tablespoons of gram flour and 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt to make a thick paste. Apply it on your darkened elbows or knees and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then, rub with wet fingers to remove the paste and rinse with water. Do this 2 or 3 times a week.

4. Sugar

To lighten the skin tone of your knees and elbows, you can also use a homemade sugar scrub. Sugar granules help exfoliate dead skin cells and soften the skin.
  1. Mix equal amounts of sugar and olive oil to make a thick paste.
  2. Apply this paste on your knees and elbows and rub it around using circular motions for 5 minutes.
  3. Wash it off with a mild soap and warm water.
  4. Do this once daily until the skin tone around your knees and elbows lightens.
  5. Repeat this treatment on a weekly basis.

5. Baking Soda

Baking soda acts as a gentle cleanser, hence it is effective for treating dark knees and elbows. It can help remove dead skin cells and reduce hyper-pigmentation that forms around the knees and elbows.
  1. Prepare a paste with 1 tablespoon each of milk and baking soda.
  2. Apply it on the affected areas and rub it around in circular motions for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry the area thoroughly.
  4. Repeat every other day until you get the desired results.

6. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a natural skin lightener that will also keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. It can help maintain even skin tone and promote the repair of skin cells damaged by sun exposure.
  1. Extract the gel by breaking open a fleshy aloe vera leaf.
  2. Apply it to the affected areas.
  3. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then wash it off with warm water.
Repeat 1 or 2 times daily for a few weeks.

7. Almond

almond oil
Both almonds and almond oil are good for your skin. Almonds are rich in skin-nourishing properties that can help maintain an even skin tone and keep your skin healthy and glowing.
  • Massage the affected areas with warm almond oil for about 5 minutes daily before going to bed. Within a few days, you should notice improvement.
  • Alternatively, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of coarsely powdered almonds with a little yogurt to make a thick paste. Apply it on the darkened elbows and knees. Allow it to dry, then with wet fingers rub in circular motions. Wash it off with cold water. Do this once or twice daily for a few weeks.

8. Mint

Mint contains several volatile oils that promote collagen in the body. It helps maintain an even skin tone and makes skin glow with health.
  1. Boil ½ cup of water with a handful of mint leaves for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add the juice of ½ lemon to it, strain and allow the solution to cool.
  3. Soak a cotton ball in this solution and rub it on your knees and elbows.
  4. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, then wash it off with warm water.
  5. Follow this treatment 1 or 2 times daily until you are satisfied with the results.

9. Turmeric

Turmeric is also highly recommended for dark elbows and knees. It can help maintain an even tone and adds a nice glow to the skin.
  • Mix a little turmeric powder with 1 teaspoon of milk cream. Apply it on your knees and elbows and massage for a few minutes. Allow it to dry, then wash it off with lukewarm water.
  • Alternatively, combine equal amounts of turmeric powder and gram flour. Add enough rose water to it to make a paste. Massage this paste onto your elbows and knees. Leave it on until it is dry. Finally, scrub off the dried mask with lukewarm water.

10. Cucumber

cucumber
Cucumber has natural bleaching properties that help lighten dark elbows and knees. Also, cucumber will help keep the skin moisturized and aid in removing impurities from the outer skin layer.
  • Gently rub thick slices of cucumber over your elbows and knees for 10 minutes. Leave it for another 5 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water. Follow this treatment daily.
  • Alternatively, mix together equal amounts of cucumber juice and lemon juice. Stir in a little turmeric powder. Apply it on the affected areas. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes, then wash it off with water. Do this daily. source
Additional Tips
  • Massage your knees and elbows with shea butter or cocoa butter every night before going to bed.
  • Rub a thick potato slice over your knees and elbows for 5 minutes daily before taking a shower or bath.
  • You can rub a small slice of ripe papaya onto the skin to enjoy soft and supple skin.
  • Do not put pressure on your elbows and knees as it can make the skin dark as well as rough.
  • Protect your knees and elbows from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays by wearing sunscreen throughout the year.
  • Scrub your skin regularly with a scrubber or pumice stone.
  • Avoid exfoliating your knees and elbows if you have an open wound as it may make it worse and increase the chances of infection.
  • Apply moisturizer regulalrly on your skin to prevent dryness.
  • Wear full-length and long-sleeved clothes when you are out and the temperature is high.
  • Follow a healthy diet that includes vitamins and minerals for optimal skin nourishment.
  • Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday to enjoy soft and healthy skin.

HE IS AT WORK IN YOU

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
Living to please God is easy to talk about but very difficult to live out. None of us can live to please God by our own strength.
Jesus gave us the guide for how to live to please God. In the Sermon on the Mount, He told us to approach God with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. That is in reference to our passion for God.
To please God, we must intensely desire Him as the source of our sustenance and strength. Jesus also told us to mourn for our sins and turn away with vehemence from anything that offends God.
We cannot please God and still remain comfortable with sin in our lives. The person who loves God, must hate sin. It is important to remember that the one who gives us the desire to live to please God is the Lord Himself.
He is the one who gives us the hunger and thirst for righteousness. Because He is the one who gives us the desire, we must trust Him to give us the grace to live out the desire.
The paradox of our walk with God is this: God wants us to desire Him above all else yet we must also know that we cannot please Him by our own strength.
No matter how intensely we desire to please Him, we cannot do it by ourselves. Once we settle with this paradox, we place ourselves on the right path for a walk with God that is real and fulfilling.
The desire for God must be in our hearts but the power to live for God is from the Holy Spirit. We give Him our desires and He gives us the power to do the things that our hearts passionately longs for.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, give me the power to live to please God.
Scriptural Reading: Philippians 2:12-18

GOD WILL TURN THINGS AROUND

I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. Isaiah 41:18
To 'open' is to begin or initiate a process. God is able to initiate a new process of blessing in our lives even when our current situation looks dry and desolate.
He causes rivers to flow into our lives when we feel dry, alone and abandoned.
Rivers stand for:
• Life
• Refreshment
• Newness
The river in the desert is not the end product of what God wants to do but the beginning. God brings rivers into the desolate places as the first step in turning around the situation we are in.
When He initiates the process of blessing in our lives, He sustains it and completes it. The river of God in the wilderness will be sustained and will produce a pool in the wilderness.
Pools form in the wilderness after the dry ground has soaked up the initial water flow; the water continues to flow till the ground is so saturated with water, it creates a pool.
God will not start a process He cannot sustain; neither will He start a process and not end it. He also promises to release fountains in the valley.
Valleys represent those moments in our lives when we feel 'low' or 'down'. Valleys also represent seasons in our lives when we feel depressed and incapable of rising to do the things we want to do.
In such moments, we can trust the Lord to release fountains of life, newness and freshness into our hearts. Yes, even in the desert, God's love reaches out to us and renews us.
Prayer: Lord, let Your living waters flow into my heart to renew my strength.
Scriptural Reading: Isaiah 41:17-20

Health: 5 Natural Ways To Remove Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are visible streaks or lines on the skin caused by distension of the skin from obesity or during pregnancy. Stretch marks are usually evident around the abdomen, buttocks, thighs and shoulders sometimes stretching down the legs and arms.

While stretch marks may not really be classified as a skin disease, some are disgusting to even look at. When the body expands or shrinks in size quickly, fine lines may appear on the body and these lines are what we refer to as “Stretch Marks” throughout this article.

While this article may not concentrate much on the causes, sign and symptoms, and prevention of stretch marks, we will be discussing the natural ways to treat or remove stretch marks from the body.

There are few amazing ways that have worked for several years, which you can use to remove stretch marks from your skin. I hope you find these methods useful in removing or reducing the stretch marks on your skin.

1. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is quite an important and effective method of removing stretch marks from the skin. There are several important nutrients and active compounds in Aloe Vera that can be quite useful in removing stretch marks.

The method simply involves rubbing Aloe Vera on the affected parts of your skin for few minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water.

You can as well mix ¼ cup of Aloe Vera gel with oil from 10 Vitamin E capsules and oil from 5 Vitamin A capsules. Apply this mixture on the affected part of your skin until it is fully absorbed. Repeat this process every day and after some time you will notice that the stretch marks on your skin has started to disappear. Keep apply this method till you get a satisfying result.

2. Water
You will be marveled at the healing powers of water. Keeping your body well hydrated can help keep if off from skin problems. When your skin is well hydrated, this results in regular detoxification of your skin pores which restores elasticity of your skin and help you get rid of stretch marks.

Practice drinking 10 glasses of water daily to keep your skin well hydrated. This will help soften your skin and help maintain its elasticity. Avoid coffee, tea or soda as these things can cause dehydration of the skin which in turn can cause stretch marks to appear on your skin.3. Sugar
Are you surprised to see sugar on the list of methods to remove stretch marks from your skin? Natural white sugar is one of the best methods to remove stretch marks from the skin. Sugar exfoliates the skin.

Sugar can be used to remove stretch marks from the skin and the method is an easy one. Simply mix a teaspoon of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix it well and apply it on the areas of your body with stretch marks, rub it gently for at least 10 minutes every day before taking a bath.

You will be amazed at the results you will get within a month. Keep practicing this until you obtain a satisfying result.

4. Olive Oil
There are important nutrients and antioxidants that can help improve various skin problems such as stretch marks in Olive Oil.

Massage the affected part of your skin with warm Olive oil to improve the blood circulation and reduce the stretch marks on this part of your skin. Leave it for an hour, so the Vitamin A, D and E present in it can be absorbed by the skin.

Keep your skin moisturized especially at nights with a mixture of Olive oil with vinegar and water. Apply is to your skin before going to bed at night. This will help keep your skin moisturized and also exfoliate your skin.

5. Potato Juice
There are vitamins and minerals present in Potato juice that can foster growth and restoration of the skin cells. Slice a medium-sized potato into thick slices and use the slices to rub on the stretch marks on your skin gently for few minutes.  Ensure the liquid from the potato covers the affected areas of your skin, leave it to dry off for some time before washing it off with warm water.

You can practice any combination of these methods to get that stretch marks off your skin in no time. Remember that gaining and losing of weight over a short period of time is what causes these marks at first, so try and maintain a good body size to prevent the marks reappearing afterwards.witnessing relatively quick results. source tipsdrop.com

Health: 5 Ways To Burn Tummy Fat

Fat in the abdomen or belly fat, is an issue that people need to take seriously. If you have excess fat around your belly, it has to be addressed. There are a number of strategies that have proven very effective in getting rid of that extra belly fat. The top 5 ways to burn tummy fat are mentioned below.

Keep away from sugar and sugar-sweetened beverages

Sugar as we know is half glucose and half fructose. Fructose can only be metabolized in small amounts in the liver. When we eat too much refined sugar, we flood the liver with it and the liver turns it into fat. Added sugar is also unhealthy. Sugar-sweetened beverages have a 60% risk of causing obesity in children.  Liquid calories are not registered by the brain so when we drink beverages, we end up consuming greater calories. Make a decision to minimize sugar in your diet and completely avoid sweetened drinks, including juices, tea and coffee having sugar in them. Excess sugar is the primary cause of belly fat; so start reducing your intake to lean and flat tummy.

Consume protein

Keeping track of what you eat is a good way of maintaining a healthy diet. Protein reduces a person’s cravings by 60%, boosts metabolism and helps reduce your calorie intake. If losing belly fat is your aim, then adding protein to your diet is the best way to achieve this. A study claimed that protein was inversely related to belly fat. Increase your consumption of seafood, fish, meats, poultry and other items that are rich in protein. You can also adopt protein supplements if your intake isn’t enough.

Cut carbohydrate completely
Restrict your carbohydrate intake. This will reduce your appetite and help you lose weight. Studies have proven that low-carbohydrate diets lead to triple the weight loss than low fat diets. In addition, low-carbohydrate diets reduce water weight and, therefore, a difference is seen within just a few days. These diets specifically target belly fat. Avoid refined carbohydrates like pasta and white bread. Apart from weight loss, low-carbohydrate diets have other health benefits as well.

Eat foods rich in fiber

Consuming fiber helps reduce weight, but not all fiber has the same effects. Viscous fibers have a greater impact on weight as they bind water and form a thick gel in the gut, slowing the movement of food to the stomach. This gives you a feeling of fullness and reduced appetite. Soluble fiber is effective in reducing belly fat, leading to metabolic improvements. So consume plant foods like vegetables and fruits. Legumes and some cereals like oats are also good sources.

Exercise and be physically active

Exercise helps lead a long, healthy life. Aerobic exercises like walking, swimming reduce belly fat to a great extent. It also prevents people from re-gaining lost weight, showing its importance in weight maintenance. Aerobic exercises reduce blood sugar and metabolic abnormalities related to obesity. Some of the most effective belly exercises include the bicycle exercise, the chair leg raise, exercise ball crunch, vertical leg crunch and long arm crunch. By doing some of these you are bound to see results. Read here

A combination of exercise coupled with the right diet is probably the most effective way of ridding yourself of belly fat. So try and follow these methods and start

PRAYER BRINGS RESULTS

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. - Acts 12:5
Acts 12 records the story of a crisis situation in the early church. James had been put to death by King Herod.
Peter had been arrested and was clearly next. So what did the church do? They prayed. But they didn't pray just any prayer. They prayed with passion. We read that "constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church."
The phrase "constant prayer" could be translated "earnest prayer" or "stretched outwardly." It is reaching for something.
Have you ever dropped an item that was just beyond your reach, and you were straining to get it? That is how the church was praying. Theirs was not a casual, yawning, Lord-help-Peter kind of prayer.
This was a storm-the-gates-of-heaven kind of prayer. They were not backing down. And guess what? Their prayers were heard.
When a Gentile woman begged Jesus to heal her demon-possessed daughter, He told her, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs" (Matthew 15:26).
She could have stormed away, but instead she answered, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table" (verse 27).
Jesus was not pushing her away; He was drawing her in. He knew her faith was great. And because of her persistence, her daughter was healed the same day.
Sometimes when the answer to our prayer doesn't come right away, we assume that God is saying no. Maybe. But maybe He wants us to keep praying with persistence.
This is the kind of prayer that prevails with God, the prayer into which 'we put our whole soul, reaching out toward God in agonizing desire. Much of our prayer has no power in it because we put so little heart into it.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to pray with passion.

Health: 5 reasons for you to stop disposing off used tea bags

You make tea, you dip tea-bags in – but don’t throw them away after you are done with them! Even after providing you with a rejuvenating drink, they have enough benefits left in them to help you out in five ways.

  1. Tea is an excellent ingredient for reducing blemishes on the skin! It contains tannin which being anti-inflammatory and soothing removes redness and swelling. Hence it is effective against under-eye bags, herpes marks, bruises, scratches and pigmentations on the skin. Just wet the tea-bag under cold running water and apply to the affected areas for about 15 minutes.

THE VOICE OF GOD

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways. Isaiah 55:8-9
One of God's desire is that we hear His voice. He speaks to us in many varied ways. God has said that His ways are not our ways. If left to our reasoning, we will constantly make wrong choices and decisions.
Without hearing His voice, we fail to fully walk in the full counsel of God and miss His best for our lives.
Thus, our goal is to avoid being deceived and to develop a listening ear that hears the voice of God with confidence.
Our goal is to have such intimacy with God that we can walk in the full blessing of our decisions and be assured they are not based on our own reasoning alone.
This does not mean that we do not use the intellectual and logical skills that He has equipped us with.
A.W. Tozer said that the man or woman who is wholly and joyously surrendered to Christ can't make a wrong choice - any choice will be the right one.
J. Oswald Sanders explains his method of receiving guidance from God for decisions: "I try to gather all the information and all the facts that are involved in a decision, and then weigh them up and pray over them in the Lord's presence, and trust the Holy Spirit to sway my mind in the direction of God's will. And God generally guides by presenting reasons to my mind for acting in a certain way."
The apostle Paul said, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose (Philippians 2:13).
God has equipped us with everything we need to make good decisions. Hearing His voice is the first step toward making right choices in life.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to give you His counsel and direction in all the decisions you make every day.

How Lie Can Lock You Down hmmm

"(We are) casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:5).
In the Hebrew Calendar, we are in the month of Av, this month is represented by the Tribe of Simeon, and has been said to be a month in which keys to reverse the curse are released. Now for some people this can be a bunch of rhetoric, but for me, this month has proved to be exactly what it says it is. It is a key giving, curse reversing, kind of month. What God has been showing me in just this first week of this Hebrew month of Av is blowing my natural mind, exciting my spiritual mind and healing my soul.
Since God is omniscient, meaning He is all knowing, He knew we were going to be born in this time in history, He knew we would be having the challenges personally and corporately that we are having, and He decided in His omniscience to have us be alive for such a time as this. So, God is not moved, nor surprised by anything that is going on in us, through us, or even around us, personally, nationally or internationally. Do you agree?
So, since this is all TRUTH, then where is the lie that is keeping us powerless, keeping us bound, keeping us locked up, held back? The problem is not with God, He is bigger than we can even comprehend, He is more powerful than we recognize, and He is more loving than we believe, so the issue lies with our vain imaginations. Somewhere inside of us, we have come to believe a lie, which when we come into agreement with it, becomes a stronghold and hinders what God wants to do in us and through us. Stay with me.
Yesterday, I was watching a sermon by John Paul Jackson and the Lord was speaking directly to me through this man of God. The Lord showed me that I have lived with a stronghold of believing what others have said about me. Now for me, it was a spirit of intimidation that I come into agreement with. This spirit of intimidation eroded at my confidence and kept me in the realm of knowing and even understanding, but not believing.
Believing is putting our whole weight on God, it is not doubting, fearing or even flinching when an attack comes because you know what He said and He is not a man that He should lie. So, I would second guess myself, that I heard clearly, or that I was really as up to date as I thought I was when it came to obedience.
Why is this significant? It's significant because the intimidator kept me from believing what God was saying about me, and, in doing so, kept me from receiving what God wants to pour out on me. I am not a mistake, God knew the personality He gave me, the body type I would have, everything about me and He called me to be a mouthpiece for Him. I did not ask for, have an opinion about or get to give advice on any of these things.
He made me like this and He likes what he made, He actually said it is very good. So, my vain imagination was that I did not like what He made and some others have not either, so I tried to dumb it down, shut it up, tone it down, and in doing so, I came into agreement with the intimidator to stay down, and this is a vain imagination that exalted itself over the knowledge of God.
I don't know what stronghold you are stuck in and honestly you probably don't either, for the enemy is very subtle and sneaky. But this I do know, the mystery of why things are not working is in the history and as we allow the Lord to look into our history, and show us the lie that has us locked up, we will be given keys that will reverse the curse in our own lives, so we can cast down vain imaginations in the lives of those we love. I'm free and now I see and agree with who God has made me to be. It's about to get really fun!

THE JOY OF THE LORD

And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. - 1 John 1:4
It is tragic to go through life with a stone face. The enemy has convinced too many into thinking that they need to be always sober and serious in order to be a Christian.
Don't fall for that trick. God wants you to be joyful and happy. In fact, He prescribes laughter as a medicine for our souls.
"The joy of the Lord is our strength." It is God's great prescription for living a long, healthy, and happy life.
Recent studies have shown that a joyful disposition boosts the body's immune system, reduces stress, reduces the risk of heart attack, and even acts as a natural tranquilizer.
Those are health benefits everyone needs. The "medicine" of laughter is within everyone, but you may need to start taking it before it works in your life.
It is important to note that the joy of the Lord is not simply bursting into laughter because you heard a funny joke. Neither is it a fake pretense at being happy or giggling senselessly.
The joy of the Lord has a spiritual source. It is produced by the Holy Spirit and is produced from within our hearts by Him.
Because it is supernatural in nature, it cannot be controlled by our circumstances.
Four factors influence our joy:
• Our salvation. We are joyful because our sins are forgiven, and our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
• Our security. We are joyful because we know that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. We are safe in Him.
• Our service. We are joyful because we allow the Holy Spirit to use us to touch other people's lives. Our lives are useful.
• Most importantly, we are joyful because of our earnest expectation of the glory of God when Christ our Lord comes.
Prayer: Joyful, joyful we adore You Lord of glory, Lord of love.
Scriptural Reading: 1 John 1:1-4
