A Woman Gives Birth to 17 Babies at Once!

Indianapolis- An American woman has totally annihilated the former World Record for the most babies in a lone pregnancy by giving birth to seventeen babies over 29 hours last weekend at the Indianapolis Memorial Hospital.

“It was incredible” explains Dr. Jack Morrow who assisted the woman through the whole operation.” The babies kept coming and coming and coming and coming…  Man! I think I’m gonna have nightmares about this day for a long time! This was my last delivery!” he adds in disgust.
Catherine Bridges and her husband had been trying to have a child for many years and had decided last year to use medical assistance from a fertility clinic in Rhodes Island. The insemination process was definitely successful, as the couple got an entire litter of seventeen beautiful and identical boys.

The couple has already chosen the names for the boys with an obvious continuity of thought: James, Jacob, Jarod, Jarvis, Jason, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jerome, Jesse, Jimmy, Joachim, Jonathan, Jonas, Joseph, Julian, Jimbo and surprisingly, Darth Porkinus.
Na wa ooooo.

A Family Where All Walk On Four Limbs!! Thank God For Creating You Perfect (PHOTOS+VIDEO)

Scientistshave discovered a family that walks on all fours – millions of years after its ancestors stood up and walked on two legs. Evolutionary psychologist Professor Nicholas Humphrey, one of the scientists leading the research into the family, said: "This could be hugely important – a living example of how our ancestors walked before they became bipedal.
"As such, it might teach us so much about our distant past."
The family is very poor, has had little medical help and lives in a small village in Turkey. The parents, who are closely related, have had 19 children.
Most were normal, but six were born with what looks like brain damage. Five of these, aged between 18 and 34, walk quadrupedally. Family members are treated as outcasts by many of the villagers.

The BBC was given exclusive access to the family and is to tell the extraordinary story in a documentary film to be broadcast this month.
The documentary features interviews with scientists from across the world, and their response has been mixed – the only thing they do agree on is that this is not a hoax.
American paleanthropologists think that the family's skeletons could hold vital clues about the origin of man.

A Turkish neurophysiologist believes that they are wholesale genetic throwbacks – a living 'missing link'.
But UK researchers contend that no single faulty gene could produce the first human quadrupeds the modern world has seen.
Producer Jemima Harrison, of Passionate Productions, which made the film for the BBC, said: "The family raises profound questions about what it is to be human. They walk like animals and that's very disturbing at first. But we were also very moved by this family's tremendous warmth and humanity."
The Family That Walks On All Fours is a documentary that explored the science and the story of five individuals in the Ulas family in Turkey that walk with a previously unreported quadruped gait.

How to Make Candied Grapefruit Peel

A two-part process transforms grapefruit’s characteristically bitter skin and pith into meltingly tender, sweet strips. Here’s how it’s done.

Servings: Makes 2 cups

INGREDIENTS
2 large red or pink grapefruits
1 cup sugar, plus more for tossing
PREPARATION
1) Cut the peel away, leaving about ¼” of white pith attached to the peel.

2) Cut peel lengthwise into 3/8”-wide strips.

3) Place strips in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, drain, and repeat two more times to reduce bitterness.
4) After blanching, the pith will appear slightly translucent.

5) Simmer peel in sugar syrup until the pith is completely translucent and the strips are very soft, about 15 minutes.

6)
Drain and let strips dry completely on a wire rack—they’ll firm up as they sit. Toss in granulated sugar.
7) To make this grapefruit peel even more gorgeous, skip the sugar and dip the strips into melted chocolate.

Burn That Calories Without Exercise

Splurging on a gym membership isn't the only way to weight loss. What you eat is obviously important, but how you eat can also help you reach your goal weight. Click through for nutrition tips that could help boost your metabolism. Try these pointers for yourself and you could drop 10 pounds-no sweat!
Rev Up Your Metabolism with...
Healthy Fats
Research has found that eating fat for breakfast turns on your fat-burning switch and helps your body use more calories all day long.
Try these foods in the A.M.:
2 eggs cooked in 1 Tbsp olive or canola oil
2 Tbsp peanut butter on whole-wheat toast
Sliced avocado on English muffin with 1 slice of cheese

Cold Water
One study showed that drinking two 8-oz glasses of water increased metabolism by 30%-and cold water boosted the burn a bit more.
Sip a glass of water (or unsweetened iced tea, which will also give you a shot of caffeine) with each meal. For added flavor-and vitamin C-drop sliced lemon into a pitcher of water and let it sit overnight in the fridge before drinking.

Whole Grains
Research shows that your body uses more calories digesting fresh foods, like whole grains, versus the processed stuff.
Transition to whole grains by following the "half" rule. In pasta dishes, start out by using half whole-grain and half white. Mix your regular cereal with ½ cup of the high-fiber variety (at least 3 g per serving).

Spices
Ginger and cinnamon raise your body temperature, so your metabolism speeds up slightly to cool it down.
Sprinkle 1 tsp grated ginger into oatmeal, smoothies and lemon-lime seltzer. Add a pinch of cinnamon to a bowl of butternut squash soup.

Smart Swaps to Fuel Your Slim-down
Breakfast
Swap Out: 1 cup blueberries
Swap In: 1 cup sliced strawberries
A cup of strawberries has 130% of your daily dose of vitamin C-a nutrient your body needs to burn fat-whereas blueberries contain just about 20%.

Lunch
Swap Out: An 8" flour tortilla
Swap In: A 6" corn tortilla
Opting for the corn version in tacos and quesadillas saves about 100 calories and delivers 100% whole grains, which take more energy to digest.

Afternoon Snack
Swap Out: Hummus
Swap In: Greek yogurt dip
You burn more calories digesting protein than any other nutrient, and Greek yogurt has 11.5 g per ½ cup. Mix ½ cup plain Greek yogurt + ½ cucumber, grated + 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice + 2 Tbsp chopped dill or mint.

Dinner
Swap Out: Soy sauce
Swap In: Curry powder
Curry contains curcumin, a compound that helps control hormones linked to weight gain. Try 1 to 2 Tbsp curry powder instead of soy sauce (which can cause bloating, too) in your next stir-fry.

Dessert
Swap Out: A fudge pop
Swap In: 1 oz dark chocolate
A new study shows that people who ate more dark chocolate weighed less. The researchers suspect antioxidants in chocolate may boost metabolism.

Peel Off Pounds with a Pill?
Raspberry ketones are the latest supplement that promises to help you lose weight, but experts caution against ketones (compounds that give raspberries their sweet smell) for two reasons:
1. The supplements have much higher concentrations of ketones than raspberries do.
2. The only research showing their effectiveness has been done in mice. "These huge amounts are yet to be studied in humans and could cause side effects," says WD nutrition expert Joy Bauer, RD. So steer clear!

Are you the only one watching?

From the story of the birth of Jesus, wise men came from the east to pay homage to Jesus. Why? They saw a star that informed them of the birth of someone great. They embarked on a journey to 'see' for themselves and greet. For them to have seen the star, they must have been watching. The ability to recognise the star was not achieved the day they noticed it. They were intelligent astrologers, able to piece together information gotten from the galaxies, up to what gifts to present.
Let's refresh our knowledge of these happenings
Matt 2:1-23
A woman who had just delivered a baby stepped out of her hospital room briefly, leaving her baby with two female visitors. On return, she met both of them arguing, trying to mediate, she asked what the matter was and one replied, 'This baby came with 5great glories and she said she'll be taking 3, while I take the rest, because she's older. I told her that will not be possible because I brought her here!'.
Are you the only one listening to God about your future and destiny? The wise men watched, the Priests and Scribes watched, King Herod watched, Mary watched, Joseph watched. What did each one of them do with the information received? The most amazing thing is that they all had the same source of information!

29.6 Carat Blue Diamond Found in S.African Mine

LONDON (Reuters) - A 29.6 carat blue diamond, one of the rarest and most coveted in the world with a possible price tag of tens of millions of dollars, has been discovered at a South African mine by Petra Diamonds.
The miner said the "exceptional" acorn-sized diamond, small enough to fit into the palm of a hand, was unearthed at the Cullinan mine near Pretoria.
The mine, owned by the firm since 2008, was also where the Cullinan Diamond was found in 1905 - described as the largest rough gem diamond ever recovered and weighing 3,106 carats.
Other notable diamonds found in the mine include a 25.5 carat Cullinan blue diamond, found in 2013 and sold for $16.9 million, and a diamond found in 2008, known as the Star of Josephine, which was sold for $9.49 million.

Chief Executive Johan Dippenaar told Reuters the latest blue diamond discovery could outstrip recent finds.
"By some margin ... this is probably the most significant stone we've ever, in terms of blue stones, recovered," he said.
"The stones in the last year or so are selling well above $2 million per carat. That's not my quote, that's updates in the market," he said ahead of the company's first-half trading statement.
Petra Diamonds is due to release figures on production and sales for the six months to December 31 on Thursday, but these will not take into account the find which occurred in January.
Analyst Cailey Barker at brokers Numis thought the diamond could fetch between $15 million and $20 million at auction.

Diamonds from both the Cullinan mine in South Africa and the Williamson facilities in Tanzania, both owned by Petra, have been displayed at London's Buckingham Palace and are regarded as among the rarest and most valuable in the world.
The 1905 Cullinan Diamond has been cut into two stones - the First Star of Africa and the Second Star of Africa - and form part of Britain's Crown Jewels held in the Tower of London.
Dippenaar said the company would decide what to do with the diamond in the next week.
