PERSIST IN PRAYER

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" - Mark 10:47
I wonder whether Bartimaeus, a blind man, would have been healed by Jesus if he had simply sat in silence when Jesus walked by. Would Jesus have stopped and turned toward him and touched him? Perhaps. But there were a lot of blind people around during Jesus' earthly ministry.
There were a lot of deaf people. There were a lot of people with leprosy. There were a lot of people with all kinds of physical problems. But Jesus didn't heal all of those people, did He?
In fact, we usually find in Scripture that Jesus responded to the people who called out to Him. In the case of Bartimaeus, he cried out, and his voice was heard. It probably helped that he screamed.
We do not need to scream in our prayers, necessarily, but we do need to be persistent. What is your need today?
Do you need a touch in your body, like Bartimaeus did? Then call out to Jesus.
Does your marriage need help? Then call out to Jesus. And don't give up if the answer does not come quickly.
Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8).
When Jesus stopped to restore Bartimaeus' sight, He was on His way to the cross. He was on His way to die for the sins of the world—and for your sins and mine.
Do you need His forgiveness today? Then call out to Jesus. Romans 10:13 says, "For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.' "
Prayer: Lord, increase my faith and give me persistent spirit in prayer.

Health: How To Get Rid Of Ingrown Toenail at Home Without Surgery

When one or both sides of your nail grow under the skin on the soft parts of the thumb is known as ingrown toenail – chronic diseases that can be caused by many reasons.
Different chirurgical and conservative methods can cure the illness, but it can be also done at home in the early stages, before the complications occur.

The right growth of your nail doesn’t irritate the skin of the toe which represents crucial thing for the curing to be successful. You have to do the following for this purpose.
Make the nails and skin become softer by making a hot bath for your toes. Put 3 tbsp of sodium bicarbonate in 5 liters water (you can optionally add salt) where the temperature should not be more than 37 C. Remove the in growth nail after the bath. You can also take a sticking plaster and stick the affected area of your thumb if you want to make the procedure easier. You will make you’re your nail more approachable by doing this. Put some cotton between the skin and the nail by raising the end of your nail with tweezers. Soak the cotton in some antibacterial cream ( iodine) before applying for getting the best results.

Change the cotton and the wrapper after 24 hours. Do this method for 15 days. The nail will grow in a short period of time.

If you have problems to put the cotton between skin and the nail at the beginning, put a mixture between garlic and honey (mix grinded garlic clove and 1 tbsp of organic honey) or aloe vera over it – the cream should be antiseptic.

The most important thing in this procedure is to soften the skin and to change the cotton between the skin and the nail every day. Rasp the ends of the nail after succeeding in the procedure.

Do not forget to do pedicures in the future Read hereIf there is an infection on the pus and nail, you should definitely visit your doctor.

10 Foods You Should Never Refrigerate

Tomatoes lose all their flavor in the fridge because the cold air stops the ripening process. Refrigeration also changes their texture.

2:
POTATOES
Keeping potatoes in the fridge will make them sweet and gritty, since the cold environment turns their starch into sugar more quickly. Instead, store them in a paper bag in a cool but not cold place.
3:
AVOCADOS
Trying to ripen your avocados? Definitely don't put them in the fridge. However, already-ripe ones that you aren't going to use right away can go in there.
4:
BREAD
The refrigerator will dry out your bread quickly. Unless it's sliced sandwich bread that you plan on using in the next few days, keep it in the freezer or on the counter instead.
5:
GARLIC
Garlic will start to sprout in the fridge eventually. It may also get rubbery and moldy, so it's best to keep in a cool, dry place.
6:
HONEY
Honey will stay good practically forever if you keep it tightly sealed at room temperature.
7:
BASIL
It's better to keep basil sitting out in a fresh cup of water, like cut flowers. It wilts faster in the refrigerator and absorbs the smells of all the food around it.
8:
OLIVE OIL
Storing olive oil in the fridge will make it condense and turn into a harder, butter-like consistency.

COFFEE
Leaving coffee beans or grounds in the fridge will make them lose their flavor and even take on the flavor of foods around them. Store large quantities in the freezer, and smaller amounts in a cool, dark place.

"I AM CHOSEN BY GOD"

The word 'Chosen' in Hebrew is: BACHIR (Reference: Strong's 972.) in Greek it is: EKLEKTOS (Strong's 1588.) It means to be the elect, to be chosen out. Being chosen by GOD means to be specially hand picked by the creator, it means to be 'intentionally' called.
Prior to my birth, my parents were not exactly expecting me. Most especially my Dad, He was comfortable being the Father of 2, as I already had a Brother and a Sister on earth. However, My Heavenly Father had a plan! My earthly Father ended up having 4 children. You see, GOD already purposed that I would be born at an appointed time to the designated parents He 'chose' for me. He fore-knew me, He predestined me and chose me for a reason. The moment I was born, my Dad said, "This is the will of GOD" because I wasn't expecting her but I know GOD is in charge. So he named me "Oluwa-Fe-eyi" meaning (GOD wants this/The will of GOD). When I grew up and realized the meaning of my name, I was excited and understood that GOD chose me.
Everyone on earth was chosen for one thing or the other. I want you to know that you were intentionally chosen by GOD. However the bible makes us as believers understand that we are not just chosen, we are chosen for Greatness and for Glory. Romans 8:28-30 (...For whom He also Called/Chose, He Justified and them that He Justified, He also 'GLORIFIED'. Most times, Chosen people do not have a choice. People like Abraham, King David, Jonah, Samuel, Saul, Jeremiah, Saul=Paul, Queen Esther and many more.
The bible says in Jeremiah chapter 1 that before we were in our mother's belly, He ordained us. Before our parents knew us, He already chose us. GOD goes further and calls us in (1Peter 2:9) a Chosen Generation, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation... I strongly believe that the Chosen generation is 'Now' in this 21st Century. Therefore, I want us to hold fast to the Word of GOD, declaring it everyday that we are Chosen.
The Statement "I AM Chosen by GOD" is very powerful because it aggravates the enemy for he was not chosen for greatness, instead he was rejected. So I urge us to declare it when situations speak contrary, when we do not get chosen for the job we want or chosen by the man/woman we desire or when we do not get the contract we want. We should declare the Word, knowing that we are 'Chosen' for something better and greater than what we could ever imagine.
Have an awesome day, because you are CHOSEN!

Is Eating One's Placenta After Birth Beneficial/Harmful? READ

The placenta can be eaten raw, or it can be incorporated into a special meal. Placenta recipes are a real thing that are on the Internet. Lest you never want to eat lasagna again, I have not included links. It can be cooked (usually steamed) then sliced, dehydrated, and encapsulated into a pill. Sometimes women freeze it in small chunks and blend it into a smoothie.
Whether one's placenta is seen as a bloody byproduct or a bonus prize is up to cultural and personal interpretation. Placentas contain remainder nutrients and hormones that were passed from mother to child in utero, but no clinical studies attest to their benefit (or harm). Often cited is a 1954 study that aimed to increase lactation in new mothers by feeding them freeze-dried placenta. "So far," its authors boasted, "we can report on 210 women who ate placenta: 71 with very good results, 110 with good, and 29 with negative results," with very good results involving an increase in breast size and milk production. The study is limited, however, in that no controls were used, and 59 years later, science has yet to follow up on those initial findings. Jodi Selander (@placentalady) started a site that vends DIY placenta encapsulating kits and is herself an advocate of the practice. In the dearth of medical evidence, she helped anthropologists at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), find subjects for a study that looked at women's reasons for eating their placentas and the effects they reported experiencing. 3026364920_fb3b5b16bd_z615.jpgThese may well have been what Western medicine would call placebo effects, but nonetheless provide a rare look into the mindsets of people to whom the practice makes sense. Although many proponents argue that placenta eating is natural, it doesn't appear to be something humans used to do before "society" interfered and deemed it gross. A historical review found "scant evidence" for the practice. Its author, William Ober, allowed that placenta may have been credited with some medical properties throughout human history, but wrote that most instances of its ingestion were probably due to extreme circumstances, like famine. He could conclude only that "given sufficient motivation, mankind will eat anything." The authors interviewed 189 "women over the age of 18 who use the Internet and who had ingested their placenta after the birth of at least one child." Such women turned out to be overwhelmingly white, American, middle-class, college-educated home-birthers. Most reported positive effects. And in what might be the most important measure of what exactly's going on here, most said they would do it again for their next birth.
Placenta Benefits.info does highlight the placenta's cross-cultural importance. It doesn't, however, explain why the placenta, viewed as sacred by the Navajo and the ancient Egyptians, and believed to be a "second child" by the Baganda, should be ground up and consumed.
The modern idea of mothers eating their own placentas didn't really take hold until the 1970s, when Ober reported of "a woman of the counter-culture" who tried it out after giving birth on her commune. (She and her friends, who joined in, called it "wonderfully replenishing and delicious.").A friend who is studying to be a midwife and assists with natural births has heard women speak often of the way the placenta resembles a "tree of life," and of their fascination with their bodies' ability not just to create a new human being, but also an entire organ dedicated to protecting and sustaining that life.
The most frequent belief cited by the women in the UNLV study was that it would improve their mood, followed by "general, but unspecified, benefits." They reported experiencing a wide range of perceived benefits, mostly "improved mood," but also "improved lactation" and "balance." Close to 70 percent of the women had no negative effects to report, although some experienced headaches and "unpleasant belching." Other negatives: it caused a rash on the baby; it worsened hot flashes, cramping, bleeding, and constipation; "social stigma." Seventy-five percent of women, though, said it had been a "very positive experience."
"I felt almost immediate relief after my first 'smoothie,'" said one. Said another, "My family could always tell if I hadn't taken the placenta pills that day!"
Again, while there's no evidence that eating placenta causes harm, there's also little to suggest it does any good -- and some anecdotal evidence is less effusive than that gathered by Selander. On The New York Times "Motherlode," Nancy Redd wrote of how she became an unlikely participant in the practice: "I've spent my career helping young women to avoid scams and misperceptions that prey on their body insecurities, and I pride myself on thorough research and general common sense." Yet "shaken" by impending motherhood, she took pills containing dried placenta mixed with "cleansing herbs." Her experience, characterized by a weird, jittery feeling and a "tabloid-worthy meltdown," was far from ideal. "I am disappointed in myself for letting fear and insecurity cause me to make a potentially dangerous decision without doing due diligence on its safety," she ended up concluding. Until more research is done, important questions will remain: Is eating one's placenta actually beneficial/harmful?Attributing a bad mood to her ingested placenta might have been just as uncircumspect as taking the pills in the first place, but we really don't know enough to judge the outcome of her or anyone else's experience. And while some may end up regretting they tried it, if only because placenta burps seem extremely unpleasant, there are stranger thingsthey could do with their placenta. read here.

GOD HEARS YOUR PRAYER

When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, "What do you want me to do for you? - Matthew 20:32
David may have been sitting out in a pasture one night, taking in all the glory of God's creation, when he wrote, "O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them?" (Psalm 144:3).
That is a good question. Why would God care about us? We may not know why, but we know that He does. If it concerns us, it concerns Him. If it is a burden to us, then, in effect, it is a burden to Him that He wants to deal with and resolve.
We see this illustrated in the life of Jesus. He was on His way to Jerusalem to die on a cross. His heart was heavy. He had just told His disciples that He would be crucified. He knew the end was near. Yet He went out of His way and took time for two blind men who had a great need.
The Bible tells us they were sitting by the road outside of Jericho when they heard Jesus was passing by. So they began to cry out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
People tried to quiet them down, but that made them even more determined to get His attention. So Jesus stopped and called out to them, "What do you want me to do for you?" They told Him, "Lord, we want to see!"
The Bible tells us that Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes, and immediately they could see. This is a reminder that God is never too busy for us.
We may think God has so many things to handle in the universe, and He does. But we are His children, and He always has time to hear our prayers.
Prayer: Father, I praise You, for You are the God who answers prayer.
