Health: 5 Foot Exercises That Prevent Pain and Improve Your Balance

5 different exercises that will strengthen your feet, prevent pain and improve your balance:

Toe Presses
The feet are the same like the others muscles in the body. They need to be warmed up before you can start doing any kind of exercise. A great warm up exercise to warm up your feet are toe presses, because it has low impact on them and I can be quite relaxing. You should stand tall and bend your knees slightly. Now grip the floor with your toes and hold that position for 3 seconds. Do at least 3 sets, 10 reps each every day.

Toe Walking
This exercise will help you strengthen the muscles in your toes, also the ligaments and the muscles around the balls of your feet. You don’t have to be ballerina to practice this foot exercise. To do this exercise properly, you must stand on your tiptoes and walk around for at least 20 seconds. Once you’ve done with this walk, rest for 10 – 15 seconds. You should do this exercise at least 2 times a day for best results, 5 reps of 20 seconds each.

Ankle Circles
It’s very important for you to have mobile and flexible ankles. Usually if someone has tight and restricted ankles, the rest of the body needs to compensate for their flaws. This leads to muscle and joint pain in the entire body. If your ankles are restricted and tight, you will experience back, knee or hip pain.
To perform this kind of exercise, lie on the floor on your back and extend one leg over your head. Now, you should rotate the extended leg’s ankle clockwise for 10 times. When you are done, rotate the same ankle counterclockwise for 10 times too. When you are done with that leg, switch to the other one and repeat this exercise.

Resisted Flexion
This exercise is perfect if you are trying to reach the small muscles in your foot that are hard to reach. These muscles have crucial role in maintaining balance. If you strengthen these muscles, you will prevent injury for sure.
To do this exercise properly you will need one exercise band. You will have to sit on the floor and straighten your feet in front of you. Now, wrap the exercise ban around a bedpost and place the band on the top of your feet. While you are sitting on the floor, slide back until you will tension in the band.
Now, flex your foot backwards and hold for 5 seconds, release and do the same movement for 10 more reps.

Toe Pencil Pickups
This exercise is very easy to perform and you can do it almost anywhere. For this exercise you will need a pencil (or pen). Now, stand in front of the pen or pencil you wish to pick up. Grab the pen or pencil with your toes and lift it from the ground, hold for 10 seconds and then drop it. Repeat this movement at least 5 times for each foot.
This exercise routines will only take 20 minutes of your time to complete them and you should do them every 2-3 days if you want good results.

THE ULTIMATE QUESTION

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:9-11
Then Jesus spoke to His disciples about His impending death and resurrection, it was lost in translation.
They didn't seem to understand. They envisioned Jesus establishing His earthly kingdom where they would rule and reign with Him.
Jesus was about to reveal something to His disciples which they had not understood up to this point, and it was simply this: He would die on a cross.
There would be a crucifixion before there will be the glory. So Jesus posed a very important question to them: "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
This question is still being posed to us today, and it is the most important question anyone ever will respond to.
There are really only four options, four responses to that great question Christ posed.
Either Jesus was a legend, a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord.
We know that He was not a legend, because there is more than enough historical evidence to clearly confirm that Jesus Christ lived and died at a marked point in time.
Others will say that He was lying about everything He said, while others would say that He was mad.
But we have to respond to this question Jesus posed. And ultimately everyone everywhere will say that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Christians, skeptics, agnostics, atheists, everyone - regardless of their religion - eventually will say that Jesus Christ is Lord when they stand before God.
Prayer: O Lord, You are my Lord and Saviour. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Scriptural Reading: Philippians 2:1-11

Prayer for the new week

The Almighty God will surely give you reasons to thank Him. You will not die before your time.
The Almighty God will smile on you and you will rejoice all the days of your life in Jesus mighty name!
"When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them." Psalms 126:1-2 (KJV) I pray that God will restore all your lost glories and belongings in Jesus name.

Happy new week folks from us ASB'S World.

The 'drunken woman'... Read

The little boy who tended the sheep.....
These are few of the names given by people who were supposed to know better. They were names given to people who did not seem good enough. They were the descriptions given to people who were being judged by knowledgeable 'leaders'
By their judgement and calculations, these people did not deserve the good, not to talk of the best.
The mother of Samuel sought an answer.
Sorrowful, she walked into her local church.
She cried her heart to God as she mumbled and moaned.
In deep prayer and communication with God, until approached by PASTOR...
Pastor had the audacity to interrupt this woman.....
Not with a word of comfort or THUS SAYS THE LORD....
But an accusation.....
A woman in need runs to church, to God , a place of refuge and he that was meant to comfort is the one who is killing her with words.....because she did not look like the others, she did not have the countenance of the other church users, who knew to shout loud so all may hear their prayers.
Hannah got up. She was deeply distressed, and she cried bitterly as she prayed to the Lord . Meanwhile, Eli the priest was sitting in his place by the door. “Almighty Lord , look at me, your servant! See my trouble and remember me! Don't forget me! ” She was praying silently; her lips were moving, but she made no sound.
So Eli thought that she was drunk, and said to her, “Stop making a drunken show of yourself! Stop your drinking and sober up!”
“No, I'm not drunk, sir,” she answered. “I haven't been drinking! I am desperate, and I have been praying, pouring out my troubles to the Lord . Don't think I am a worthless woman. I have been praying like this because I'm so miserable.”
“Go in peace,” Eli said, “and may the God of Israel give you what you have asked him for.”
1 Samuel 1:9-11, 13-17 GNB
Its not a thing of the past, its still with us today.
Let me ask you....have you ever looked at an individual and judged them by their looks or by their actions, even without knowing how they got there?
If you answered YES, you are not any different from the knowledgeable who judged wrongly.
The 'appearance of Christianity' makes us look at others as though they are lost eternally.
Our seemingly holy utterances makes us exclude people who may genuinely have encountered God or are seeking Him, but they do not have the typical attitude.
By looking and judging them this way, we miss God. We miss sharing Christ with them, we miss reaching out to those whose faith may be at a dip....because they don't look ' like us'
Hannah , thank God for that woman, decided to explain herself to the PASTOR.....who is so used to sitting at his place, that he has never put himself in anybody's position. She did not take offence....God decided to bless her through the mouth of the same PASTOR....
Sisters, many times, we are judged and misunderstood.
They isolate you because YOUR MARRIAGE DIDN'T WORK....as though you were in the marriage relationship all by yourself.
They point fingers at you because you are matured singles. ..and its 'her past that is catching up now'
Your face is synonymous with PRAYER REQUESTS. .....you are always in need of prayers.
Don't take offence.....ignore the knowledgeables! Choose to tolerate insult...
Its in the same temple where Hannah was called drunken that she dedicated Samuel.....and the PASTOR SAW IT LIVE AND DIRECT.....
To my sisters who are misunderstood......hold on.....YOUR SOUND OF REJOICING SHALL REACH ALL CONCERNED....its only a mater of time.
To the specialists who know to take their seat and are able to judge from afar.....HOPE YOU KNOW THAT THE SEAT MAY BECOME VACANT....someday..

FREEDOM

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? -
Romans 6:16
Whose slave are you? You may think you are your own person, the master of your own destiny. But in reality, each of us yields or gives ourselves to someone or something.
We are all slaves of someone or something. You are either a slave of God or a slave of sin. What a glory to be a slave of God!
The Bible says in Romans 6:22, "But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life."
This word "slave" was translated from a Greek word that would have been readily understood in that culture.
It referred to a slave who had been bought at the slave market then granted freedom by their new masters. In other words, the master would purchase that slave and then set him or her free.
Slaves who were so thankful to their masters for such a compassionate gesture and wanted to voluntarily serve them would be designated as a "bondslave".
They are slaves by choice. The grateful slave was not a slave for pay or a slave out of fear, but a slave by choice. That is what Paul said he was, and that is also what we ought to be.
Becoming a slave of God has some glorious benefits:
• You are set free from sin. You bear the fruit of holiness (joy, peace, righteousness).
• You receive everlasting life. Whose slave are you? Are you the slave of God or the slave of sin? The choice is up to you.
Prayer: Lord, I yield myself to You as Your bondservant.
Scriptural Reading: Romans 6:15-23
