Health: 5 Foot Exercises That Prevent Pain and Improve Your Balance

5 different exercises that will strengthen your feet, prevent pain and improve your balance:

Toe Presses
The feet are the same like the others muscles in the body. They need to be warmed up before you can start doing any kind of exercise. A great warm up exercise to warm up your feet are toe presses, because it has low impact on them and I can be quite relaxing. You should stand tall and bend your knees slightly. Now grip the floor with your toes and hold that position for 3 seconds. Do at least 3 sets, 10 reps each every day.

Toe Walking
This exercise will help you strengthen the muscles in your toes, also the ligaments and the muscles around the balls of your feet. You don’t have to be ballerina to practice this foot exercise. To do this exercise properly, you must stand on your tiptoes and walk around for at least 20 seconds. Once you’ve done with this walk, rest for 10 – 15 seconds. You should do this exercise at least 2 times a day for best results, 5 reps of 20 seconds each.

Ankle Circles
It’s very important for you to have mobile and flexible ankles. Usually if someone has tight and restricted ankles, the rest of the body needs to compensate for their flaws. This leads to muscle and joint pain in the entire body. If your ankles are restricted and tight, you will experience back, knee or hip pain.
To perform this kind of exercise, lie on the floor on your back and extend one leg over your head. Now, you should rotate the extended leg’s ankle clockwise for 10 times. When you are done, rotate the same ankle counterclockwise for 10 times too. When you are done with that leg, switch to the other one and repeat this exercise.

Resisted Flexion
This exercise is perfect if you are trying to reach the small muscles in your foot that are hard to reach. These muscles have crucial role in maintaining balance. If you strengthen these muscles, you will prevent injury for sure.
To do this exercise properly you will need one exercise band. You will have to sit on the floor and straighten your feet in front of you. Now, wrap the exercise ban around a bedpost and place the band on the top of your feet. While you are sitting on the floor, slide back until you will tension in the band.
Now, flex your foot backwards and hold for 5 seconds, release and do the same movement for 10 more reps.

Toe Pencil Pickups
This exercise is very easy to perform and you can do it almost anywhere. For this exercise you will need a pencil (or pen). Now, stand in front of the pen or pencil you wish to pick up. Grab the pen or pencil with your toes and lift it from the ground, hold for 10 seconds and then drop it. Repeat this movement at least 5 times for each foot.
This exercise routines will only take 20 minutes of your time to complete them and you should do them every 2-3 days if you want good results.

THE ULTIMATE QUESTION

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:9-11
Then Jesus spoke to His disciples about His impending death and resurrection, it was lost in translation.
They didn't seem to understand. They envisioned Jesus establishing His earthly kingdom where they would rule and reign with Him.
Jesus was about to reveal something to His disciples which they had not understood up to this point, and it was simply this: He would die on a cross.
There would be a crucifixion before there will be the glory. So Jesus posed a very important question to them: "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
This question is still being posed to us today, and it is the most important question anyone ever will respond to.
There are really only four options, four responses to that great question Christ posed.
Either Jesus was a legend, a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord.
We know that He was not a legend, because there is more than enough historical evidence to clearly confirm that Jesus Christ lived and died at a marked point in time.
Others will say that He was lying about everything He said, while others would say that He was mad.
But we have to respond to this question Jesus posed. And ultimately everyone everywhere will say that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Christians, skeptics, agnostics, atheists, everyone - regardless of their religion - eventually will say that Jesus Christ is Lord when they stand before God.
Prayer: O Lord, You are my Lord and Saviour. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Scriptural Reading: Philippians 2:1-11

Prayer for the new week

The Almighty God will surely give you reasons to thank Him. You will not die before your time.
The Almighty God will smile on you and you will rejoice all the days of your life in Jesus mighty name!
"When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them." Psalms 126:1-2 (KJV) I pray that God will restore all your lost glories and belongings in Jesus name.

Happy new week folks from us ASB'S World.

The 'drunken woman'... Read

The little boy who tended the sheep.....
These are few of the names given by people who were supposed to know better. They were names given to people who did not seem good enough. They were the descriptions given to people who were being judged by knowledgeable 'leaders'
By their judgement and calculations, these people did not deserve the good, not to talk of the best.
The mother of Samuel sought an answer.
Sorrowful, she walked into her local church.
She cried her heart to God as she mumbled and moaned.
In deep prayer and communication with God, until approached by PASTOR...
Pastor had the audacity to interrupt this woman.....
Not with a word of comfort or THUS SAYS THE LORD....
But an accusation.....
A woman in need runs to church, to God , a place of refuge and he that was meant to comfort is the one who is killing her with words.....because she did not look like the others, she did not have the countenance of the other church users, who knew to shout loud so all may hear their prayers.
Hannah got up. She was deeply distressed, and she cried bitterly as she prayed to the Lord . Meanwhile, Eli the priest was sitting in his place by the door. “Almighty Lord , look at me, your servant! See my trouble and remember me! Don't forget me! ” She was praying silently; her lips were moving, but she made no sound.
So Eli thought that she was drunk, and said to her, “Stop making a drunken show of yourself! Stop your drinking and sober up!”
“No, I'm not drunk, sir,” she answered. “I haven't been drinking! I am desperate, and I have been praying, pouring out my troubles to the Lord . Don't think I am a worthless woman. I have been praying like this because I'm so miserable.”
“Go in peace,” Eli said, “and may the God of Israel give you what you have asked him for.”
1 Samuel 1:9-11, 13-17 GNB
Its not a thing of the past, its still with us today.
Let me ask you....have you ever looked at an individual and judged them by their looks or by their actions, even without knowing how they got there?
If you answered YES, you are not any different from the knowledgeable who judged wrongly.
The 'appearance of Christianity' makes us look at others as though they are lost eternally.
Our seemingly holy utterances makes us exclude people who may genuinely have encountered God or are seeking Him, but they do not have the typical attitude.
By looking and judging them this way, we miss God. We miss sharing Christ with them, we miss reaching out to those whose faith may be at a dip....because they don't look ' like us'
Hannah , thank God for that woman, decided to explain herself to the PASTOR.....who is so used to sitting at his place, that he has never put himself in anybody's position. She did not take offence....God decided to bless her through the mouth of the same PASTOR....
Sisters, many times, we are judged and misunderstood.
They isolate you because YOUR MARRIAGE DIDN'T WORK....as though you were in the marriage relationship all by yourself.
They point fingers at you because you are matured singles. ..and its 'her past that is catching up now'
Your face is synonymous with PRAYER REQUESTS. .....you are always in need of prayers.
Don't take offence.....ignore the knowledgeables! Choose to tolerate insult...
Its in the same temple where Hannah was called drunken that she dedicated Samuel.....and the PASTOR SAW IT LIVE AND DIRECT.....
To my sisters who are misunderstood......hold on.....YOUR SOUND OF REJOICING SHALL REACH ALL CONCERNED....its only a mater of time.
To the specialists who know to take their seat and are able to judge from afar.....HOPE YOU KNOW THAT THE SEAT MAY BECOME VACANT....someday..

FREEDOM

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? -
Romans 6:16
Whose slave are you? You may think you are your own person, the master of your own destiny. But in reality, each of us yields or gives ourselves to someone or something.
We are all slaves of someone or something. You are either a slave of God or a slave of sin. What a glory to be a slave of God!
The Bible says in Romans 6:22, "But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life."
This word "slave" was translated from a Greek word that would have been readily understood in that culture.
It referred to a slave who had been bought at the slave market then granted freedom by their new masters. In other words, the master would purchase that slave and then set him or her free.
Slaves who were so thankful to their masters for such a compassionate gesture and wanted to voluntarily serve them would be designated as a "bondslave".
They are slaves by choice. The grateful slave was not a slave for pay or a slave out of fear, but a slave by choice. That is what Paul said he was, and that is also what we ought to be.
Becoming a slave of God has some glorious benefits:
• You are set free from sin. You bear the fruit of holiness (joy, peace, righteousness).
• You receive everlasting life. Whose slave are you? Are you the slave of God or the slave of sin? The choice is up to you.
Prayer: Lord, I yield myself to You as Your bondservant.
Scriptural Reading: Romans 6:15-23

IN HIS STRENGTH

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10
Just as police officers call for back-up when they sense that danger is imminent, the first thing we must realize about spiritual battle is that in our own strength, we are no match for the devil.
I think a healthy respect of our adversary is in order for believers today. We don't want to underestimate him, nor do we want to overestimate him. We want to accurately assess who he is and what his abilities are.
We need to recognize that he is powerful; we don't want to try and take him on in our own strength.
Sometimes you hear some preachers calling the devil silly little names, laughing at him, or making jokes about him.
But we must remember what Jude 9 says: "Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, `The Lord rebuke you!'
Even the high-ranking Archangel Michael did not dare to condemn the devil with mockery. He simply said, "The Lord rebuke you!" There was a respect of the enemy.
The reason we need to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" is that Satan wants to get us away from that. It is our power base. He wants to separate us from God, because the moment he gets us away from Him, we become an easy prey.
Thus, the devil wants to put a wedge between God and us. The only power that can defeat Satan is the power of Jesus Christ. Be strong in the Lord. Stay close to Him. Never let anything come between you and the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, draw me closer to you so that I will be strong in you and in the power of your might.
Scriptural Reading: Ephesians 6:10-20

Health: “ An Avocado A Day Keeps The Doctor Away, Forever!

There are 5 reasons why the old quote “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” should be changed in “ an avocado a day keeps the doctor away, forever!” .
Avocados Won’t Make You Fat

There are so many things like fast food, chips, soda, white bread that will make you fat. But avocados will help you with many things monounsaturated fat, olive oil, and a high preponderance of oleic acid – this is a good fat and a beautifying oil. If we want to keep slim as we age we need the oleic acid. It is also believed to decrease our chances of developing heart disease.

Curbs Hunger
Meals that include avocados and other good fats taking away the need to eat more cause you to feel full, have shown recent studies. Avocados produce a blood-sugar, friendly, ketogenic effect because they consist mostly of healthy fatty acids. Go for the avocado the next time you reach for a bag of chips.

Packed With Nutrients
What makes the avocado such a healthy treat is the things that are inside of it. For starters packed inside each one, there are typically over 14 minerals. Each avocado also contains:

18 essential amino acids and 2 grams of protein per 100 grams of avocado.
Soluble fiber.
Phytosterols: beta-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol that may help keep arthritic and other forms of inflammation under control.

Carotenoids: Antioxidants and oil-soluble carotenoids are contained in avocados in an unusually high amount. These include: o-carotene, yellow alpha carotene and yellow lutein, but also many lesser-known carotenoids including yellow epsilon-carotene, yellow neochrome, yellow neoxanthin, yellow chrysanthemaxanthin, orange beta cryptoxanthin, orange zeaxanthin, and yellow violaxanthin.

Chlorophyll: Avocados woderful green glow comes from this. Chlorophyll is a deodorizer, detoxifier, and neutralizer of toxins.

Polyhydroxylated fatty alcohols (PFAs): in ocean plants these are more widely prevalent but fairly unique among land plants—making the avocado tree (and its fruit) unusual in this regard.
Vitamins: B (folic acid), C, E

You Can Add Avocado To Many Meals
Avocados can be used to turn ordinary meals into super meals, and that’s why they are awesome. You’ve got guacamole if you mash up some avocados. on some hempseed or chia-seed gluten-free bread or raw cracker throw a few avocado slices and you have a tasty snack. You can place avocados on top of almost any food.
With sea salt or nearly any form of seaweed avocados are great. by the high sodium content of sea salt and seaweeds their high potassium content is balanced. Avocados are also wonderful in salads. More recently avocados have made their way into smoothie recipes. Of course, no guacamole is possible without its key ingredient.

Long-Term Health
Avocados can benefit your health in the long run not mentioning the tons of nutrients thay have and that they are very delicious. Those good fats will help keep your blood sugar levels in check, your good cholesterol at optimum levels and can neutralize inflammation in the brain and body all while being a great energy source. What a replacement for meat and cheese.

GOD IS FAITHFUL

Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9
Too often Christians think that being children of God makes them immune to the attacks of the devil or that the storms of life would just bypass them.
Exactly the opposite is true. I have seen those who turn their backs on God and walk out of the church because God didn't stop the storm from coming against them. Surely the storms of life will come.
hey will often come when you least expect them. That makes them a better test of your faith. We would all like it if the troubles that we will face were known before they happened so that we could plan better, but that's not faith. God wants to see how you will react in the times of trouble.
Will you react in faith and trust, or doubt and fear? When the enemy comes in like a flood against you, where will you turn to?
The reality of our walk with the Lord is that He never abandons us even when we feel abandoned.
The God on the mountain is still God in the valley. When things go wrong, He will make them right. The God of the good times is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day, is still God in the night. Thank God, He's still God — and nothing is too hard for Him! Thank God for his faithfulness!
Thank God for his promise to never leave us! Thank God for his power to heal, to bless, to forgive and to wash us from all sin!
Thank God for supplying our every need! Thank God for his love, His mercy and goodness.
Prayer: I thank You Lord, that in all situations You remain faithful.
Scriptural Reading: Deuteronomy 7:1-11

The 10 things truly confident women do NOT do

What is the difference between a truly confident woman and a totally insecure one?
Everything. The way she walks, talks, thinks, feels and interacts with others are completely different. True confidence is built from within.

  • In order to build this strength within, truly confident women have figured out which things they should put into their lives and which they should take out. Here is a list of some of those things a truly confident woman simply does not do.
    • 1. Compare herself to others

A truly confident woman is content with who she is. Seeing another pretty face does not make her feel ugly, because she knows that life is not a competition. She does not keep score of who is the most clever, talented or beautiful.
    • 2. Seek happiness from outside sources

Truly confident women do not depend on others to make themselves happy. They understand that happiness is a choice. When life isn't giving them lemons, they simply grow their own tree.
    • 3. Talk constantly

A confident woman does not need to be the center of attention at all times. She is totally fine stepping aside to give someone else the spotlight.
    • 4. Feel the need to follow trends

Truly confident women are not followers. They do not feel the need to "fit in." If they find something they like, they will jump on board. If not, they are perfectly fine wearing an outfit that is "so last season."
    • 5. Blame others

Truly confident women are well aware that pointing fingers should have ended in third grade. These ladies take responsibility for their own actions. They are not afraid to admit their faults, face their own problems and apologize to those they have wronged.
    • 6. Pick apart her appearance

A truly confident woman does not look in the mirror and see only her imperfections. She knows that bothersome blemishes and bad hair days are temporary. Even her pretty face will succumb to wrinkles and age spots over time. Because of this, a confident woman will often spend more time enhancing her inner beauty than her outward appearance.
    • 7. Get jealous

A confident woman does not feel threatened by the success of others. She is genuinely happy for another's achievements and takes joy in other people's gifts and talents.
    • 8. Take things personally

Truly confident women are not easily offended. They do not analyze every careless remark made to them, automatically assuming the worst. Unkind words and insults simply do not stick to them.
      • 9. Gossip

Confident women have better things to talk about than other people. Their topics of conversation are interesting and thought-provoking. These ladies do not need to speak poorly of others in order to feel better about themselves.
      • 10. Lower her standards

A truly confident woman never lowers her standards for anyone. She does not seek approval from her peers. She seeks to do what is right.

DON'T WORRY

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' Matthew 6:31
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus had specific things to say about worry and anxiety. He said, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" (Matthew 6:25-27) Why shouldn't we worry?
First of all, God, your Father loves you so much that He will not withhold anything good from you.
Your Heavenly Father will take care of you. Jesus points to the birds. You've never seen a bird sweat, have you? Birds are singing, rejoicing and praising God.
Certainly, they need to go out and gather their food. They do their part to get what they need. But they don't worry about it. The point Jesus is making is that if God cares for the birds, will He not take care of you?
The answer obviously is yes, He will. Second, worry does not bring about anything productive in your life. It is a destructive emotion. It doesn't lengthen your life and can even potentially shorten it.
The next time you are tempted to worry about something, channel all of the energy you would have put into worry and put it into prayer instead. Say, "Lord, here is my problem. I am putting it in your hands. I am going to trust you."
Prayer: Lord, I cast all my burdens on you because I know you care for me.
Scriptural Reading: Matthew 6:25-34

Health: Antibacterial Soaps Can Harm More Than Help

Yet another research team has come out with a report against the use of antibacterial soaps. South Korean scientists discovered that antibacterial soaps only kill more bacteria than regular soaps do, if the antibacterial soaps are exposed to the bacteria for hours.
When the antibacterial soaps and the regular soaps were both used for 30 seconds, both killed the same amount of bacteria.
The active ingredient in antibacterial soaps is a product called triclosan. Current law forbids soap manufacturers from using more than 0.3 percent of it in antibacterial soaps. The South Korean researchers found that such a weak percentage of triclosan means it does not kill more bacteria than regular soap and water. They discovered the percentage of triclosan needs to be much greater than 0.3 percent to kill substantially more bacteria than regular soap.
However, don't let that 0.3 percent of triclosan make you think it's safe. As it turns out, it could be harmful in a number of ways, according to years of research that has even gotten the attention of the Food and Drug Administration.
In fact, the FDA is considering banning triclosan unless soap manufacturers can prove that it's safe.
The FDA is concerned about reports that triclosan causes hormonal disruption. Equally concerning is the theory that triclosan contributes to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This is because when we use antibacterial soaps, the residue goes down the drain and ultimately into our water supply. So we end up drinking the stuff. Plus, the triclosan-tainted water is used to grow the foods we eat.
Remember, we only want to kill some bacteria. Much of the bacteria in our bodies, especially in our gut, are good, and we need them to maintain a healthy immune system. If we do away with all the bacteria in our gut we can suffer all kinds of bowel trouble and more.
So as cold and flu season approaches, remember the best way to prevent against getting sick is to wash your hands often. But just use regular soap and water. Ideally, use warm water and lather for at least 20 seconds, or about the time it takes to sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice.

Family: Fighting for Your Child in Prayer

"The battle for our children's lives is waged on our knees. When we don't pray, it's like sitting on the sidelines watching our children in a war zone getting shot at from every angle. When we do pray, we're in the battle alongside them, appropriating God's power on their behalf."
She also says, "Whenever you pray for your child, do it as if you are interceding for his or her life—because that's exactly what you are doing. Remember that while God has a perfect plan for our children's lives, Satan has a plan for them too."1
We have an enemy who wishes to damage our children. He wants their hearts and their minds. We are in a battle for the lives of our children, and, as previously quoted, the battle can only be waged on our knees in prayer. We can't wish the enemy wouldn't bother them or hope he will go away. We can, however, defeat him by the power of the Word of the Living God.

Take a Stand

Read carefully and claim the mighty message of Ephesians 6:10–13:
"Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
We can defeat the enemy because we are enabled to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We can put on the full armor of God in order to take our stand against any scheme the devil might attempt to throw at our children. This armor will allow us to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and it will allow us to defeat the enemy as we wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God!
Jesus defeated the enemy using the Word whenever Satan began to tempt or try to do Him physical harm (Matt. 4:4-11). His example should be our own, because the enemy's tactics are still at work today. Satan wishes to cause our children to fall morally and spiritually. He desires to poison the minds of our children so that they will be unable to be of service to the Living God.
As parents, grandparents, teachers, youth workers—and others with children in our spheres of influence—we must stand firm against the enemy and declare that he cannot have the minds of our children. We must fight for them in faithful prayer and teach them to fight for themselves! It is foolish and dangerous to ignore the schemes of Satan, for he is powerful and looking for every weakness.
This is a lifelong battle, and we must never let down our guard. We must diligently pray and teach our children how to pray the Word of God as a sure defense against the one who continually seeks to destroy. Only through the powerful Word can victory be won over our sinful natures and the enemy.

Prayers of Truth and Power

Here are some specific ways to pray that the minds of your children and grandchildren will be protected against the deceptions and schemes of Satan—and are instead saturated with the mind of Christ:
  • Pray that your children's minds will be controlled by the Holy Spirit so that they can be pleasing to God and filled with life and peace. "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace, for the carnal mind is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can it be" (Rom. 8:5-7).
Sample Prayer: Holy God, give my children the mind of the Spirit, set upon what the Spirit desires so that their lives will be characterized by life and peace. Help them to fight against the sinful mind that the enemy would seek to place within them, so that they will live lives submitted completely to You.
  • Pray that your children will continually ask the Lord to examine their hearts and minds so that they will be able to walk in truth and purity. "Examine me, O Lord, and test me; try my affections and my heart. For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth" (Ps. 26:2-3).
  • Pray that your children will use their minds to understand and search out wisdom so that they can recognize the stupidity of wickedness. "And I turned my heart to know, and seek and search out wisdom in how things are and to experience wicked folly, even foolishness and madness" (Eccl. 7:25).
  • Pray that their minds will be steadfast as they trust in the Lord. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord we have an everlasting rock" (Is. 26:3-4).
  • Pray that your children will keep the greatness of the Lord's faithfulness always in their minds, so that they will have hope. "But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed; His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness" (Lam. 3:21-23).
  • Pray that your children will always have the mind of Christ, "casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:5).
  • Pray that your children's minds will never be led astray and that they will always have sincere and pure devotion to Christ. "But I fear that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve through his trickery, so your minds might be led astray from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Cor. 11:3).
  • Pray that your children's minds will be saturated with God's peace in every trial and difficult circumstance. "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:7). read here
  • Pray that your children will be drawn to value spiritual truths over earthly things. "Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth" (Col. 3:2).
  • Pray that your children's minds will always be prepared for action, so that they can live out lives of holiness. "Therefore guard your minds, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children do not conduct yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance. But as He who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy'" (1 Pet. 1:13-16).
Now that you have the Lord's perfect strategy for keeping the minds of your children protected from Satan, be diligent in your prayers. Be consistent in your teaching of the Word and in your personal study and devotion. Most of all, be a godly example for your children and grandchildren to follow as they mature in Christ

Health: 8 Habits That Make You Fat

8 Habits That Make You FatGetting rid of unsightly bulges is not easy. Some people even wonder why, despite all their efforts, they still can not lose weight. This is simply because they are struggling to get rid of some bad habits. We list you below 8 bad habits to avoid:
1.Stress
Stress affects metabolism. In some cases, stressed people feel the urge to pounce on the food. Unfortunately, in this situation, foods are not necessarily good for health. The power is not the solution to your problems. Turn instead to an activity that can calm you like sports or meditation.
2. Skipping meals
Many people think that skipping meals is a tip that will help them to lose weight. If you take only one meal in the day, your body will take the nutrients it needs from this one meal. Which can be very dangerous for health.
Especially as the feeling of hunger will persist during the day. Try instead to split your meals into 5 snacks a day and stop eating after 20h.
3. Eating quickly
Eating quickly is very bad for health. After the meal, you will have the sensation of having a full stomach. However, this impression will disappear quickly after an hour or two and you’ll again want to eat. According to doctors, we should chew our food at least 30 or 40 times before swallowing.
Because the body needs at least half an hour to digest food and report that your stomach is full. Therefore, take the time to eat. You will eat less and lose weight more easily
4. Staying up late
Staying up late disrupts the functioning of hormones in the body. Mainly leptin (satiety hormone) and ghrelin (a hormone that stimulates appetite).
Leptin signals to your brain that your stomach is full, while ghrelin stimulates hunger. This may be one reason that drives you to eat late at night. To avoid this, try to sleep at least seven hours per night.
5. Abusing Caffeine
Excessive consumption of caffeine stimulates the secretion of cortisol, known as the stress hormone. This hormone causes a desire to eat sweet or savory foods, according to the person. Therefore, you gain weight and put your health at risk. We must therefore consume caffeine in moderation.
6. Consuming processed foods
Processed foods are the major cause of obesity. They contain fats and sugar. Cookies, chips, cakes and pre-péparés frozen foods should be avoided. By following this advice, you will notice the difference.
7. Ignore thirst
Some people think that their body does not need water and prefer to consume sugary drinks. Make sure to drink 2 liters of water daily. This will boost your metabolism and give you a feeling of satiety. Furthermore, several studies have shown that water reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, stress and eliminating toxins from the body.
8. Head for the wrong radius
In supermarkets, many people overlook the fresh counter and headed for the processed food or sugary drinks. Try changing your habits, preferably by going to the fruit and vegetable shelves. You will notice the difference in a few weeks.  And do not forget, of course, to support these efforts with some exercises to help you burn fat.

THERE IS FORGIVENESS FOR YOU

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9
'There are millions of people on this planet who think that because, in their own opinion, they are basically good, they have no need for a saviour or for forgiveness of sins.
Such people never reach out to receive God's offer of forgiveness because they are unable to bring themselves to acknowledge their own sinfulness. "
After all," they will say, "I've never killed anybody. I do my job, pay my bills, try to help my fellow man, and I'm a productive member of society. At least I'm not a thief or prostitute."
They say this, but they don't see how their lives are filled with bitterness, or envy, or gossip, or resentment, or self-righteousness, or pride, or hate, or jealousy-they don't see how sin has corrupted them and driven a wedge between themselves and a holy God.
As a result they go through life thinking, 'I'm not that bad; in fact, I'm better than most'. God's forgiveness is not based on how much we deserve forgiveness. It is based on His grace and our willingness to ask for forgiveness. Do you want to be forgiven?
Then go to God, in sincerity, asking to be forgiven of your sins. If you ask Him to forgive you, He will do just that for you.
Receiving forgiveness is an act of faith. You don't wait for a feeling to confirm it; you ask for it and by faith you accept it.
Trust God to keep His promise. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Prayer: Have mercy on me O Lord and cleanse away my sins.
